Best College Football Week 4 ATS Betting Picks

Central Florida at Maryland

When: Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM ET Where: Maryland Stadium, College Park, Maryland NCAAF Odds: Maryland -4 Analysis: The Maryland Terrapins have looked well above average in spanking Texas 51-41 and Towson 63-17 in their two games this season. While Central Florida rolled all over Florida International 61-17 on August 31 to cash in as 17.5-point home favorites, Maryland quarterback Kasim Hill has been spectacular in completing 84.2 percent of his passes this season for 207 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and I believe he’ll out-duel UCF signal-caller McKenzie Milton in this contest, although Milton did look really good in torching FIU for 360 passing yards with four touchdowns and one interception in his lone appearance this season. Central Florida has gone 2-7 ATS in its L/9 games against a team with a winning record and Maryland is just 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games following a straight up win. Forget about the trends surrounding this Week 4 pairing and back the Maryland Terrapins to get it done at home! College Football Week 4 Pick: Maryland -4

Latest Betting Trends for Week 4:

College Football Week 4 Must Bet Games

NC State at Florida State

When: Saturday, September 23, 2017at 12:00 PM ET Where: Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, Florida NCAAF Odds: NC State +12 Analysis: North Carolina State improved to 2-1 on the season by getting past overmatched Furman 49-16 on Saturday, but the Wolfpack fell to 0-3 ATS by failing to cover the spread as 36.5-point home favorites. Quarterback Ryan Finley completed 22-of-27 passes for 231 yards and one touchdown , while running back Nyheim Hines rushed 11 times for a team-high 92 yards and one score while backup running back Jaylen Samuels rushed five times for a modest 16 yards, but found the end zone three times. Florida State has played just once because of Hurricane conditions in the state following their 24-7 season-opening loss against Alabama that saw the Seminoles lose star quarterback Deondre Francois to a season-ending patella tendon injury. While the Noles have had a few weeks to regroup and apparently have another talented quarterback in in James Blackman, the fact that he’s being tossed in the fire as a true freshman doesn’t bode well for the Noles if you ask me, which is why I like NC State for the ATS upset in this contest, if not the outright win. Apparently Florida State have another talented quarterback in James Blackman.   NC State is 20-4 ATS in their last 24 games following a bye week and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. While Florida State has gone 6-0 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in the last five home games, I’m thinking North Carolina State is the pick to keep the final score well inside the nearly two-touchdown spread following their 24-20 home loss against Florida State last season. College Football Week 4 Pick: NC State +12

Latest Betting Trends for Week 4:

-North Carolina State is 2-4 ATS in the last 6 games -North Carolina State is 4-1 SU in the last 5 games -The total went UNDER in 5 of North Carolina State’s last 7 games when playing Florida State -Florida State is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games -Florida State is 5-1 SU in the last 6 games -The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Florida State’s last 10 games

Texas Tech at Houston

When: Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 12:00 PM ET Where: TDECU Stadium, Houston, Texas NCAAF Odds: Texas Tech +6 Analysis: Texas Tech improved to 2-0 SU and ATS by getting past Arizona State in its high-scoring 52-45 win on Saturday to cover the spread as 6.5-point home favorites. Quarterback Nic Shimonek completed 37 of 50 passes for a whopping 543 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions while wide receiver Keke Coutee caught 12 passes for 186 yards and one score and fellow wideout Dylan Cantrell added eight receptions for 160 yards and two scores. Defensively, Texas Tech is allowing 27.5 points per game. Houston also moved to 2-0 SU and ATS on the season under new head coach Major Applewhite by beating Rice senseless in their 38-3 win on Saturday to easily cash in as a 23-point home favorite. Quarterback Kyle Allen was nearly perfect in completing 31 of 33 passes for 309 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back Mulbah Car rushed 11 times for a team-high 59 yards and one score while fellow back Duke Catalon added another rushing score. Wide receiver Linell Bonner hauled in 10 passes for 132 yards in the win while the Houston defense limited Rice to just 113 passing yards while forcing three turnovers. Defensively, Houston is allowing 9.5 points per game. 53% of public bettors already likes Houston to get the ATS cover, but I’m going to encourage you to go with the 43 percent that like Texas Tech for the upset just like I do. The Red Raiders have gone 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games, 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. While the Cougars are a robust 14-3 in their L/17 games in the month of September, Houston is also just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. College Football Week 4 Pick: Texas Tech +6
