Which driver has the better chance of taking the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix checkered flag? Hamilton or Verstappen?
At the Italian Grand Prix, Hamilton finished third behind both Bottas and Leclerq. He wasn’t even all that close, really, since he finished 35.199 second behind Leclerq. Hamilton has won the last couple of Singapore GPs, though. He dominated last year when beating Max Verstappen by 8.961 seconds.
To his credit, Max Verstappen had to start near the back in Italy. He made is way all the way up to eighth place. He lost by a minute and 14.492 seconds, but he drove exceptionally well. This year, Hamilton dominated early, but Verstappen has picked it up. He could definitely close the gap on Hamilton in Singapore. If you’re looking to back a favorite, go with Max over Lewis.
Does Valtteri Bottas and Alexander Albon offer fair odds to win the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix?
Yes and no. A lot of F1 handicappers are hot on Albon, but he only finished sixth at the Italian Grand Prix. Bottas finished second to Leclerc in Italy. He’s got a couple wins on the season and finished fourth behind Hamilton, Verstappen, and Sebastian Vettel at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Back Bottas over Albon. Again, Albon could win because he’s an excellent driver, but he had an okay Italian Grand Prix run while Bottas was right there for the victory.
Can either Charles Leclerq or Sebastian Vettel pull off the upset?
Both have a shot to pull off the upset. Vettel finished third in this race last year. He raced badly at the Italian Grand Prix. Before that, he raced very well in Belgium when finishing fourth behind Leclerc, Hamilton, and Bottas.
If you like Vettel at +1400, you must love Leclerc at +1200. Charles has won the last couple of F1 races. He did finish ninth in Singapore last year. Before knocking him for that, realize that he raced for Sauber-Ferrari, not Ferrari. He’s behind the wheel of a much faster car this year than he was last year.
Leclerc has broken through as Ferrari’s driver. He’s offering overlay odds to win on Sunday. Back Charles Leclerc not only over Vettel, but over every other driver offering odds to win the Singapore Grand Prix.
