With the 2018 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 going down live from Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas this Sunday, now is a perfect time for you to get your expert NASCAR betting pick on just which drivers stand the best chance of coming out on top in the latest stop on the 2018 schedule. Better yet MyBookie auto racing betting enthusiasts, I’ve been on fire with my picks this year!

Now, let’s find out who the likely winners are before I offer up what I expect to be my latest winning prediction.

NASCAR Betting Preview: O’Reilly Auto Parts 500

Season So Far

Austin Dillon won the prestigious Daytona 500 on Feb. 18 and then, Kevin Harvick went all bonkers by winning the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, the Pennzoil 400 and TicketGuardian 500 in each of the following three weeks to become just the 29th driver in modern history to win three straight races.

Martin Truex Jr. then snapped Harvick’s winning ways as I predicted by taking the Auto Club 400 and last weekend, Clint Bowyer came up huge at the STP 500 to record his first win since 2012.

Now, after a weekend off, the 2018 NASCAR gets back underway with Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Harvick is the Vegas favorite at 3/1, followed closely by Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch at 4/1. However, with the track at Texas Motor Speedway getting resurfaced recently, things will likely be different for everyone in the field.

“Texas has become a unique racetrack,” said Harvick who is the 3/1 favorite. “I know we have a different left-side tire that we’ll have to get used to this weekend. When they repaved the racetrack, they made the two ends of the racetrack so different – turns one and two have become very challenging, especially in the Cup Series car because of how flat it is.

“When you enter the corner, you don’t use the entire racetrack anymore because they put the bottom of the corner so far down the racetrack. It’s unique and different. You have to make your car turn well and not be too loose into the corner of turn one, and it has to turn well in the middle of the corner in order to carry speed off, otherwise, you’re just lugging up off the corner”.

Expert Final Analysis & Prediction

Last year, future Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson won the spring race at Texas Motor Speedway and he won three straight races from the fall of 2014 to the fall of 2015. Kevin Harvick won the fall race last year to record his first career victory at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch won in the spring of 2016 while Carl Edwards won the fall race that year.

With Kyle Busch having four Top 5 finishes and five top10 finishes, I think he’s looking like a sure-fire top-five finisher this coming weekend. I also love the way Martin Truex Jr. is looking right about now, seeing as how he’s got an amazing five, Top 5 finishes this season.

Martin Truex Jr is one of the NASCAR Betting favorites to win the 2018 O'Reilly Auto Parts 500.

Denny Hamlin has a quartet of top 5 finishes this year while Clint Bowyer, Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano all have a pair of Top 5 finishes as well. Logano has five, Top 10 finishes while Blaney, Keselowski, and Hamlin all have four Top 10 finishes.

With all of that said, I’m going with Kyle Larson as my NASCAR Betting pick for this one, Joey Logano for second place and Kevin Harvick for third. My picks for the fourth and fifth place are Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski respectively.

Top Five Finishers

  • #42 Kyle Larson
  • #22 Joey Logano
  • #4 Kevin Harvick
  • #78 Martin Truex Jr.
  • #2 Brad Keselowski
