With the nominations in and the odds released for several candidates, it’s time for music lovers and entertainment awards betting enthusiasts everywhere to turn their eyes to the 2017 Grammys. As expected, the now, legendary Beyoncé leads all nominees with nine nominations including record of the year, album of the year and song of the year.
Right behind Bey are Rihanna with eight, Drake with seven and Kanye West with six. Newcomers Lukas Graham are in a chase for the record of the year and song of the year while Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill In Ibiza” managed to sneak into song of the year category. Drake’s album, “Views,” also found its way into the field for album of the year. Now, let’s take a look at some of my predictions to win some of this year’s Grammys betting odds.
Here’s A Closer Look At The Analysis Highlights 2017 Grammy Odds And Predictions
Odds to win Album of the Year
Lemonade – Beyoncé -190
25 – Adele +120
Purpose – Justin Bieber +700
Views – Drake +600
A Sailors Guide to the Earth – Strugill Simpson +800
Analysis: If you didn’t know, only 10 times since 1959 has an African-American won this award. Thankfully, Beyoncé will make it 11 this year because of the impact “Lemonade” made in 2016.
Prediction: Beyoncé – “Lemonade”
Odds to win Best New Artist
Chance The Rapper-300
The Chainsmokers -150
Maren Morris +580
Anderson .Paak +1200
Kelsea Ballerini +1000
Analysis: Chance The Rapper is the clear-cut favorite for a reason after taking the music industry by storm in 2016 – although I can’t stand him or any of today’s new-age rappers for that matter!
Prediction: Chance the Rapper
Odds to win Record of the Year
Hello – Adele -250
Formation – Beyoncé +110
Work – Rihanna ft. Drake +650
7 Years – Lukas Graham +1000
Stressed Out – Twenty One Pilots +1600
Analysis: While song of the year is awarded to the songwriter, record of the year is all about the song itself. Being as big of hit as it was this year, Beyoncé will take home the award for Formation.
Prediction: Beyonce – “Formation”
Odds to win Song of the Year
Hello – Adele -500
Formation – Beyoncé +180
Love Yourself – Justin Bieber +1000
7 Years – Lukas Graham +750
I Took A Pill In Ibiza – Mike Posner +2500
Analysis: While Beyoncé is the likely winner of the Record of the Year and Album of the Year awards, the Song of the Year will almost certainly go to the favored Adele for her hit song ‘Hello’. Danish pop group Lukas Graham is a good longshot pick for their hit song “7 Years,” but again, Adele is the likely winner here.
Prediction: Adele – “Hello”
