PGA Tour Early 2021 FedEx Championship Betting Odds & Analysis

It’s hard to believe, but we’ve come to the end of the 2020-12 PGA Tour season. The season will conclude with one of the most exciting events of the season! The Top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings will make their way to Atlanta, Georgia for the Tour Championship. The East Lake Golf Club will host this unique event.

Let’s take a look at some of the PGA Betting favorites who will be competing for the FedEx Championship and the $15 million first-place prize.

PGA – Early TOUR Championship Odds

What makes this event unique is the fact that the 30 golfers will all begin with starting strokes. Since Patrick Cantlay won last weekend’s event, he’ll start with the best stroke value at -10. Tony Finau won the first FedEx playoff event, so he’ll be right behind Cantlay with a – 8. The golfers who are in third through fifth place in the standings will start seven, six, and five under. What makes this event so prestigious is the fact that the winner of this tournament will walk away with a first-place prize of $15 million.

Patrick Cantlay 4-1

After last weekend’s epic playoff win over Bryson DeChambeau, Cantlay is the favorite to win this weekend. At the BMW, Cantlay hit numerous clutch putts to stay alive.  Starting off at -10 is a huge bonus. Heading into a tournament with a two-stroke lead is a great way to start and puts pressure on the rest of the field. Canlay leads the PGA Tour in wins this season with three, and he would love nothing more than to win his fourth tournament and walk away with $15 million.

Jon Rahm 4-1

Even though he will be four strokes behind Cantlay at the start of the tournament, Rahm is the co-favorite to take home the huge purse. Coming off of a ninth-place finish at the BMW, Rahm will be looking to make a run at the leader early on. This course is built for long hitters, and that is one of Rahm’s greatest strengths. Rahm finished fourth here last year, so he knows how to be successful at East Lake.

Bryson DeChambeau 5-1

DeChambeau lost to Cantlay in a playoff in last weekend’s BMW. DeChambeau has eight career victories and will be looking for #9. DeChambeau is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, and if he can keep the ball in the fairway, he’ll have a huge advantage on this course. If he doesn’t, it’ll be a long weekend for one of the best golfers in the world.

Tony Finau 15-2

Finau will start the tournament two strokes behind Cantlay. Finau has traditionally played well at East Lake and has played a lot of rounds there. Finau has one win on the season, coming in the first event of the FedEx Playoffs. Even though he has only won once, he has three runner-up finishes, along with three more top-10 finishes this season. Finau has quietly had a very good 2021, and we look for him to play well in this season’s final event.
