There really isn’t such a thing as a must win baseball game in the month of May, but the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago White Sox are both in a position where a run of wins would really help their cause. Despite having very similar records on the season, the Orioles are in a much better position due to the fact that they are housed in the sloppy AL East. These two will play the second of a game of a make-up doubleheader on Thursday afternoon in Baltimore, and we have a full game analysis complete with MLB odds.

Quick Report on the Chicago White Sox at Baltimore Orioles MLB Lines Prediction & Game Info

Date/Time: Thursday, May 28, 1:05 PM
Location: Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore, Maryland
TV/radio: CSN, WSCR 670, WRTO 1200
Opening Line: White Sox -135

The Baltimore Orioles (20-23) are one of the toughest teams to figure out this season. Everything about them screams a .500 ball club, from their win/loss record to their run differential, yet they are still within reach of the lead in the AL East. This is a team that is benefitting more than most from playing in a division that no-one appears to want to win, and you get the sense that if they can put things together for a decent stretch of games, they might just be able to take a run at the division title. This double header against the White Sox represents a perfect opportunity to kick start a positive run, as Chicago are a team on the slide right now. At time of writing, it had not yet been decided who the Orioles will send to the mound for the second game of the double header.
There are very few positives to point out with this Chicago White Sox (19-24) team right now.

They are on a losing skid that has sent them to the cellar in the AL Central, and it’s hard to argue that’s it there where they truly belong. No-one really knew what to expect from Chicago coming into the season, especially given the changes they had made to their lineup, but I don’t think very many people believed that things were going to be as bad as they are right now. At just 3-7 in their last 10 games, the White Sox are in danger of slipping into obscurity before the season has really fully kicked into high gear. Rookie Chris Beck is slated to get his first career start in the bigs on Thursday.

The pitching status of this one makes it a tough game to call, but I really wouldn’t be stunned of the Orioles found a way to win both legs of the double header.
