Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers MLB Betting Game Preview
The final week of the season is going to deliver some nail-biting action, especially on the American League side of things, where the Wild Card race looks like it is going to go right down to the wire. The chase for the final spot is now essentially down to a 3-horse race, with the Minnesota Twins right in the thick of it. They head to Detroit this weekend for a 3 game series that starts on Friday night, with Minnesota as favorites in the sportsbook odds.
Taking a Sneek Peek on Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers MLB Betting Game Preview & Info
Date: Friday, September 25, 2015
Venue: Comerica Park
Opening Line: Minnesota -110
Of the three teams in the hunt for that final Wild card spot, it is only the Houston Astros who control their own destiny. The good news for the Minnesota Twins (78-73) is that they are only a game behind, which means they don’t need a lot of help in order to get in. Things looked pretty rough for them after dropping 3 of 4 to the LA Angels, the other team in the hunt, but they have bounced back nicely, and have taken the first 2 games in their series against the Cleveland Indians. The Twins are back to playing some great defensive ball, and have only given up 4 runs in their last 3 games. A sweep of the Indians would be the perfect way to get them headed out on this upcoming 7-game road trip with momentum on their side. Mike Pelfrey (6-10, 4.16 ERA) will be on the mound for Minnesota.
The Tigers (71-81) may be out of the playoff picture now, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t want to have some sort of impact on how things play out. Their next 2 series are against the Twins and the Rangers, a pair of teams who are very much alive and well in the postseason picture. They will also want to do all that they can to get out of the AL Central cellar, which they failed to do by only picking up a split in their series with the Chicago White Sox. These next 2 series against very good teams will likely determine whether they end up in or out of the basement. Matt Boyd (1-5, 7.40 ERA) will get the start for the Tigers.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bets
This is certainly not the most glamorous pitching match-up that we could have asked for, and there is a better than average chance that this game is going to produce a fair amount of runs. The OVER might be a good bet here, and I also like the Twins to win straight up.
