Oakland A’s at Minnesota Twins MLB Betting Lines Prediction
Unless you are the team that is the reigning World Series Champion, the expectation from your fans is that you do better than you did the year before. It’s just not possible for every team to do it, though, especially if it has been made known that rebuilding is in the works. The Oakland A’s and the Minnesota Twins are a pair of teams looking to improve on last year’s performance, and they will meet in Oakland on Thursday afternoon for the final game in a 4-game series. Thinking of doing some MLB betting on this match? Then this game preview is just the thing you need.
Inside Scoop on Oakland A’s at Minnesota Twins MLB Betting Lines Prediction & TV Info
Date: Thursday, May 07, 2015
Venue: Target Field
Opening Line: Minnesota -110
The Minnesota Twins (14-13) certainly did not start the season looking as though they were going to be very good, going just 1-6 in their opening 7 games. They have turned things around, though, and are now a game over .500 and sitting in third spot in the tough AL Central division. They have reached this point using a little bit of smoke and mirrors, as the ERA for their pitching staff is just 9th out of 15 in the AL. That said, they have to be pleased that they are moving upwards in that category, as it is one that they have finished dead last in over the past three seasons. The chances of them actually competing for a division crown are still not great, but the team is showing some signs of life at least. Ricky Nolasco (1-1, 10.13 ERA) will get the start on Thursday, and will be looking to continue improving. Things did not go well in his first outing of the year, but his last start was much better.
The Oakland A’s (12-16) have some work to do if they want to make it back into the postseason in 2015. This was a team that started hot last year before falling away badly in the second half of the season. It has been a stunning lack of consistency that has been a big part of the problem this season, as Oakland seems unable to string together a run of wins that might help them build some momentum. Coco Crisp may give them a little boost when he returns on Wednesday, and Jodh Reddick will be looking to continue his recent hot streak. Reddick had a 12 game hitting streak (3 HR, 15 RBI) snapped in the Tuesday loss to the Twins. Drew Pomeranz (1-2, 4.61 ERA) will get the start for Oakland, and will be looking to do a whole lot better than he has done in his previous 3 starts.

The return of Coco Crisp is sure to serve as a real boost for Oakland, but you have to wonder if they can build on that given how they have started the season. I like them to get the win here against a Twins team that is still giving up a lot of runs despite being on a good winning streak.
