Kansas City vs Boston MLB Odds Information
There are no such things as style points in baseball for MLB betting fans, but if there were, there are a couple of teams who would be deserving of them. One of the teams would have to be the Kansas City Royals, as their 13.5 game lead in the AL Central is about as impressive as it gets. They will be looking to crush yet another AL opponent when they head into Boston on Thursday for a 4-game series against the Red Sox.

The Royals (72-46) have been enjoying their season so much that it would appear that they want to try and extend it a little. Their last 2 games have gone to extra innings, and they have come away with the win in both. Winning is becoming all too familiar for last year’s World Series runner’s up. They could very well end up topping the 100 win mark this year, especially if they continue the torrid 8-2 pace that they have set over the past 10 games.
This is a team that can get the job done in all kinds of ways, as they can just as easily beat you with power as they can with pitching. Both have been on display during the impressive run that they are on in the month of August. The Royals are beginning to look like the team to beat in the AL. Danny Duffy (6-5, 4.03 ERA) is unbeaten in his last 3 starts, and will be looking to make it 4 on Thursday.
It has been a bit of a rough week for the Red Sox (53-66) but one that could serve as inspiration for the remainder of the season. The sad news was that manager John Farrell revealed that he would immediately need to start receiving treatment for lymphoma. That was followed by the hiring of a new GM in Dave Dombrowski. Both pieces of news are sure to have an impact on the entire clubhouse, and it’s going to be interesting to see how the players react.
They will be playing for their manager, and for the chance to impress the new GM. Should be an interesting final few weeks in Beantown. Wade Miley (9-9, 4.58 ERA) will be hoping for the same outcome as his last start, which the Red Sox won 22-10.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet
While I expect the Red Sox to play hard for their manager and GM, I just think they are seriously outclassed here, which is why I think the Royals get the win.
