Top 2016 MLB Parlays Of The Weekend

Posted by Henry Watkins on August 19, 2016 in

The number of weekends left in the MLB regular season is starting to dwindle, which mean there are now only limited opportunities to build your bankroll before the playoffs begin. One of the best ways to give your bank a boost is via the parlay route, and as I always do on the weekend, I am going to give you three parlay plays that might help you pocket a little extra cash. I will be playing two games on each day, so please feel free to play along if you think that the picks and the MLB betting run lines are in your favor. Without further ado, let’s take a look.

In Depth Analysis On The Top 2016 MLB Parlays Of The Weekend

MLB Parlays Picks for Friday August 19th

I have to start things off with the red hot Chicago Cubs, as they are taking a trip to Colorado to face a Rockies team whose season is essentially over at this point. The Cubs have been nothing short of brilliant this season, and have built up a lead in their division that simply cannot be overcome. They are coming into this one having gone 8-2 in their last 10 games and have won 4 in a row. They will have Kyle Hendricks (11-7, 2.19 ERA) on the mound, and he has gone 6-1 with 3 no decisions in his last 10 starts. That all adds up to a win for the Cubs.

The Washington Nationals are another team that look to have their division sewn up, but that hasn’t stopped them piling on the wins. They face the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, and already have a win over them in the opening game of the series. I don’t see them having any problems picking up another win against a team that has now lost 5 in a row.

MLB Parlay Picks for Saturday August 20th

I’m going with what may be a bit of a surprise pick to get things rolling on Saturday, as I like the Tampa Bay Rays to get the win over the Texas Rangers. These two teams are heading in very different directions, but I think the Rays get the nod in the pitching match-up here. A.J. Griffin has struggled a little of late, while Jake Odorizzi has been playing very well for the Rays. Bit of a longshot perhaps, but worth a wager.

Let’s go for a double surprise here, as I am going to go with the Oakland A’s over the Chicago White Sox. Chris Sale on the mound for the Sox might suggest a win, but he has been getting no run support, and hasn’t picked up a win since July 2nd. Ross Detwiler is still trying to impress his new team, and he has had two decent starts since moving over from Texas.

MLB Parlay Picks for Sunday, August 21st

The St. Louis Cardinals are in the thick of the Wild Card race in the National League, and they need to take advantage of lesser teams if they want to keep the pace. They have an opportunity to do that this weekend against the Philadelphia Phillies. I like them to get the win in the final game of the series on Sunday.

The World Champion Royals have not been at their best this year, but they are currently on a streak that has seen them win 5 in a row, which has allowed them to go 8-2 in their last 10 games. They will be going up against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, and that’s a game that they should have no problem winning.
