Houston Rockets vs Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Betting

Perhaps it’s just me, but I believe that Sunday afternoons were made for sports. That becomes a little harder to sell once football season is over, but when you get a killer NBA betting odds match-up matinee, the argument is made valid once more. We certainly have one to look forward to this coming Sunday, as the Cleveland Cavaliers travel into Houston to face the Rockets.

NBA Betting Odds Analysis and Game Preview

The rise of the Cleveland Cavaliers in recent weeks would make you think that this is a team with rockets strapped to their backs, as they are now 3rd in the east and just 1 game back of the second placed Toronto Raptors. There may not be enough time to chase down the conference leading Hawks, but you get the sense that they could make it very, very interesting coming down the stretch. As you might have already guessed, LeBron James has played more than a passing role in the Cavaliers turnaround, but it is how this team has finally come together that has to be a little concerning to everyone else in the league. They are hitting their stride at just the right time, and are a team that no-one wants to face in the playoffs. They have won 4 straight, and are looking to build another huge winning streak like the 12 win run they recently put together. That might be tough to do against a Rockets team that contains who many believe to be the MVP of the league this season, James Harden. He has been in beast mode all year long, but really took the cake a couple of nights ago against Minnesota when he went off for a triple double. Houston have won 7 of their last 10, with all three losses during that stretch coming on the road. They are definitely a much better team at home, whilst the Cavaliers have had their struggles on the road, albeit with most of those travel woes coming in the early part of the season. Houston are sitting in a very comfortable 3rd in the West, but am sure they still feel like they can at least track down Memphis and take over that second spot. A win on Sunday would certainly help the cause.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet

These two teams met earlier in the season, and it was Houston who came away with the big road win. Cleveland are a different proposition right now, though, and I expect this to be a whole lot closer. I still like the Rockets to win at home, but would not be surprised to see OT.
