The ACC Conference has been pretty dominant this season, with no less than 5 different teams all occupying a spot in the top 25. When you have a conference that is this strong, you really don’t have any NCAAB lines that can be considered easy to play, and no game is easy to win. Louisville may have one of those coveted top 25 spots, but they know that Syracuse is not going to be a pushover when they meet on Wednesday night.

Cardinals vs Orange NCAA Basketball Lines Analysis and Game Preview

Date: Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 Time: 7:00PM Venue: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, New York Opening Line: Louisville -5 Louisville (20-5, 8-4) have had a pretty tough time of it lately, having now lost 2 of their last 3 games. The loss to the Virginia Cavaliers may not have been a major shock, but dropping their last game against North Carolina State is something that was certainly not expected. That loss should be enough to let the Cardinals know that they simply cannot skate through the remainder of the season. This is a time of the year when teams really have to start to think about getting on a roll, as the tournament start date draws ever closer with each passing day. Part of the problem for the Cardinals recently has been scoring, as they have fallen well below their 71.6 PPG average in each of their last three outings. They are going to have to get their scoring back on track of they want to start adding numbers to the win column again. Syracuse (16-9, 7-5) have seen their season go off the rails a little in recent weeks, as they have dropped 5 of their last 8 games. Things have a chance of getting even worse for Syracuse, as 4 of their last 6 games come against ranked opponents. They have played 4 ranked opponents to this point of the season, and have lost all of them. Where they can expect to have real problems versus Louisville is in trying to break down the Cardinals defense, which is ranked 19th in the nation, giving up 59 PPG. The Orange are going to have to rely heavily on Rakeem Christmas and his 17.7 points per game if they are to stay competitive in this one.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet

Louisville are sure to still be steaming after that loss to North Carolina State a few nights ago, and will be looking for someone to take it out on. That leaves Syracuse in a tough spot, as I really don’t think they have the firepower to compete with the Cardinals. An easy double digit win for Louisville is what I am expecting here.
