San Diego State
The San Diego State Aztecs are one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball as they head into their conference tournament. The Aztecs have won 10 out of their last 12 games. During that streak, the two losses for San Diego State came at Fresno State, and at home to Boise State. The Aztecs have won two in a row, at New Mexico, and then at home over UNLV. San Diego State has no losses outside the top 100 RPI this season. Certainly a hot bubble team is the San Diego State Aztecs.
The Temple Owls are a bubble team, but appear to be in good shape to head to the NCAA tournament. The Owls have won 9 out of their last 12 games. Temple is coming into their conference tournament with a three game winning streak. Ever since falling on the road at Tulsa, the Owls have backed it up with wins over Central Florida, Memphis and at Tulane. Temple has three wins over Top 50 RPI teams; with two of them the Cincinnati Bearcats. Check the Temple Owls when discussing hot teams that are on the bubble.
The Butler Bulldogs were on the NCAA bubble. But, they appear to be coming off that bubble as of late. The Bulldogs are coming into the Big East tournament with a three game winning streak. The Bulldogs have wins over Georgetown, Seton Hall and Marquette. Butler’s last two losses were both to ranked teams; in Villanova and Xavier. Butler is 6-8 against RPI top 100 teams, but expect them to be in good shape, and look out for them in the NCAA tournament.
