My Special Game Preview and Odds Analysis

The Kansas Jayhawks (19-4, 8-2) have played no less than 5 ranked teams in their last 7 games, and did amazingly well to only lose once, versus Iowa State. The second loss that they took during that stretch came on Saturday against an unranked Oklahoma State team who rode home court advantage all the way to a 67-62 win. This may have been a bit of a letdown game for the Jayhawks, as they were just coming off a huge 89-76 win over Iowa State in a game that was sweet revenge for that earlier loss. The defat at the hands of the Beavers opened the door for Iowa State in the Conference standings, as they are now jut 1 game back. Kansas has a tough schedule to go through in the final month of the season, and will be looking to rebound on Tuesday against a Texas Tech team that looks ripe for the picking. The Red Raiders are a team in freefall in conference play, as they are now 2-9 there, taking their season record to just 12-12. The biggest surprise in their conference play was that they were somehow able to knock off Iowa State, which is a result that Kansas has to look at so that they don’t come into this one overconfident. That win for Texas Tech really is their only bright spot on a season that everyone is now wishing would be over. They are struggling offensively and defensively, and only have a single player with a double digits scoring average. They are going to have to perform some sort of miracle if they hope to get anything out of this one.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet

This could very easily have been a trip up game for Kansas were it not for the fact that they just had one versus Oklahoma State. There is no way that they lose two in a row, especially against teams that are way down the talent scale. The Jayhawks are sure to be less than pleased with their last performance, which is why I think they come out guns blazing in this one. Look for this match-up to get very ugly indeed, with a totally lopsided score the most likely outcome.
