Top NCAAB Betting Matchups of the Week – November 13th

The college basketball season is now officially underway. While the opening weeks usually features the bigger schools going up against smaller teams, we can still get a good idea of what we can expect from the championship favorites. Blowout wins in the early part of the season may well signal that a team is ready to make a run when the games get tougher, while teams who struggle early on may be setting the tone for the early part of the season and the NCAAB betting action week after week.

Betting in these opening games, especially when playing the ranked teams, usually means betting ATS or O/U, as that is where the value lies right now. There are a number of fixtures still to be determined for Friday, so let’s look at the next 4 days to pick out some games that you might want to take a look at once the NCAAB odds for each are released.

Top NCAAB Betting Matchups of the Week – November 13th

Charleston Cougars vs. Wichita State Shockers (Monday)

Wichita State is staring the season as the #7 ranked team in the nation, and judging by their opening game, they are taking that ranking seriously. They blew out Missouri-Kansas City 109-57, with senior Darral Willis doing most of the damage with his 19 points.

Next up for the Shockers is a game against the Charleston Cougars, who are coming off a 68-60 OT win versus Sienna in their opener. The Cougars will be looking for Grant Riller, who scored 21 in the season opener, to help keep this one as close as possible.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Michigan State Spartans (Tuesday)

If you only watch one college basketball game this coming week, I would imagine that this would be the one that you would choose. It’s #1 versus #2, and while a win or loss for either team at this stage of the season would not be that damaging, it would certainly set the tone for a possible future meeting during March Madness.

Duke has opened their season with back to back wins, while Michigan State easily handled North Florida in their opener. Look for both teams to go all out for the win in this one.

Indiana Hoosiers vs. Seton Hall Pirates (Wednesday)

Given that the Hoosiers went a disappointing 18-16 last season, it’s easy to forget that they are just two years removed from a 27-win season. They are looking at this year as being the one where they start to become a force again, but they are off to a wobbly start, going 1-1 in their opening two games, including an embarrassing loss to Indiana State in their season opener.

Indiana will be no favorite at the NCAAB Betting Odds for this week, but an upset is possible.

A win against the #23 ranked Seton Hall Pirates would certainly help get things back on track, so keep an eye on a possible upset in this one.

  • Indiana is 3-9 SU in its last 12 games

Xavier Musketeers vs. Wisconsin Badgers (Thursday)

These are a pair of teams coming off very good seasons, which makes this one very much worth your betting attention. Xavier starts the season ranked #17 after making it to the Elite 8 last season before falling to Gonzaga. They started this year with a very comfortable 101-49 win over Moreland.

Wisconsin made it to the Sweet 16 in the tournament last season, eventually falling to Florida. Their season is off to a fine start, with comfortable back to back wins over South Carolina State and Yale. This is one of the better games on the schedule this week.
