The Toledo Rockets will look to pull off the big NCAAF Betting upset at home in one matchup while the Indiana Hoosiers look to move to 3-0 when they host their own backyard barbecue. With teams set to square off in their respective Week 3 clashes on Saturday, let’s find out who they’re playing and what the likely scenarios are for both contests. Okay, let’s get to my pair of expert NCAA Football Week 3 picks right now.

NCAA Football Week 3 ATS Picks

Miami (1-1) at Toledo (1-0)

  • When: Saturday, September 15, 2018, 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: Glass Bowl, Toledo, Ohio
  • NCAA Football Week 3 Odds: Miami -10

Miami Hurricanes

Miami bounced back from their humbling 33-17 Week 1 loss at LSU to beat the hell out of overmatched Savannah State 77-0 in Week 2 as Malik Rosier tossed two TD passes and ran for another while backup N’Kosi Perry added three TD passes in the win. Miami racked up 494 yards of total offense while holding Savannah State to just 78 yards of offense while recording four turnovers.

Toledo Rockets

Toledo smacked VMI senseless in their regular season opener two weeks ago as quarterback Mitchell Guadagni tossed three TD passes and the Rockets added 213 rushing yards and a whopping five scores on the ground. Toledo’s defense recorded two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Prediction

Even on the road, I like the Miami Hurricanes to easily cover the spread as a modest 10-point favorite. The Canes beat the Rockets 52-30 last season to cover the spread as a 13.5-point home favorite and I’m thinking this season’s meeting is going to produce a similar outcome. Miami has gone 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following an ATS win, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games in the month of September and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points. While Toledo has gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall, the Rockets are also just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following a bye week. In addition to all of that, Miami simply has far more top-notch talent on their roster than Toledo. The Hurricanes are the easy pick for me to win and cover the chalk. Score Prediction: Miami 49 – Toledo 21

Ball State (1-1) at Indiana (2-0)

  • When: Saturday, September 15, 2018, 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: Memorial Stadium “The Rock”, Bloomington, Indiana
  • NCAA Football Week 3 Odds: Indiana -14

Ball State Cardinals

Ball State might have lost in Week 2, but their performance was so impressive everything about it felt like a victory except the final score. You see, the Cardinals gave No. 8 Notre Dame a very difficult time before falling 24-16 to the national championship hopefuls. “Ball State did a great job coming into this game and doing what it needed to do. Their preparation was great, their coaching was better,” said Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly afterward.” “There are no moral victories,” Ball State coach Mike Neu said. “We had our chance. Our guys were ready to compete. Whatever we lacked in size, we were going to go compete, go toe-to-toe. We embraced the David vs. Goliath comparison.” Ball State blew Central Connecticut out of the water in its 42-6 season-opening win two weeks ago.

Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana has looked solid, but not outstanding by any means, in beating Florida International 38-28 in Week 1 while following that up with a hard-fought 20-16 win over Virginia on Saturday despite failing to cover the spread as a 5-point home favorite. Quarterback Peyton Ramsey entered the game in the second quarter and went on to complete 16 of 22 passes for 150 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while running back Stevie Scott rushed for 204 yards and one score on 31 carries. “He was moving the team, so we just said, `Hey, roll with it,” Indiana’s first-year coach, Tom Allen, said. “Hey, you’ve got two quarterbacks, that’s a great thing. Richard’s the starting quarterback, but you’ve got to compete.”

Prediction

Ball State has gone a near-perfect 9-1 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games, a blistering 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games against teams from the Big Ten and a consistent 55-26 ATS in their last 81 road games overall. Indiana is 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 home games, 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and a dismal 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Cardinals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings against the Hoosiers while the road team in this rivalry is also 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings. There’s a reason why a compelling 73 percent of public bettors like Ball State and its because the Cardinals look like a virtual lock in this one! Score Prediction: Ball State 35 – Indiana 31
