Written by on November 25, 2019

With No. 3 Clemson and No. 4 Georgia both looking to keep their College Football Playoff rankings intact and one-loss Minnesota looking to reach a New year’s Day bowl game, let’s find out if all three nationally-ranked teams can avoid upsets in their respective College Football Week 14 rivalry matchups on Saturday.

2019 College Football Week 1 Parlay Picks

No. 3 Clemson (11-0) at South Carolina (4-7)

  • When: Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, South Carolina
  • TV: ESPN
  • College Football Week 14 Odds: Clemson -25 / Total: OFF

Renamed the Palmetto Bowl in 2014, Clemson has dominated this in-state rivalry by winning five straight against South Carolina. More importantly, the third-ranked Tigers now have the look of a legitimate national championship title contender. Clemson has scored 52 points or more in each of their last four games including their 52-3 blowout win over wake Forest two weeks back.

South Carolina has lost two straight and for of their last five including their embarrassing 30-6 defeat at the hands of Texas A&M two weeks ago. With the defending national champs going a near-perfect 9-1 ATS in their last nine road games and South Carolina going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall, I smell a huge blowout brewing in this one!

Pick: Clemson 63 South Carolina 10

No. 4 Georgia (10-1) at Georgia Tech (3-8)

  • When: Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
  • TV: ABC
  • College Football Week 14 Odds: Georgia -28 / Total: OFF

Georgia Tech hosts in-state rival Georgia in their annual ‘The Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate rivalry’ in Week 14. The fourth-ranked Bulldogs have won five straight including their hard-fought 19-13 win over Texas A&M on Saturday. The yellow Jackets snapped a three-game skid by getting past NC State 28-26 this past weekend. Georgia has won two straight in this rivalry by at least 24 points including their 45-21 home win last season as a 17-point favorite.

More importantly, Georgia Tech was blown out by Virginia tech 45-0 two weeks ago and they were also limited to a completely embarrassing two points in a Week 3 road loss to Temple. With Georgia Tech going 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and Georgia going a bankroll-boosting 23-7 ATS in their last 30 road games, this one looks like a lock despite the four-touchdown spread.

Pick: Georgia 49 Georgia Tech 17

No. 13 Wisconsin (9-2) at No. 9 Minnesota (10-1)

  • When: Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 3:30 PM ET
  • Where: TCF Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • TV: ABC
  • College Football Week 14 Odds: Wisconsin -2 / Total: OFF

No. 13 Wisconsin has won three straight since dropping two in a row to Illinois and Ohio State and come into this matchup off an emphatic 45-24 blowout win over Purdue on Saturday. Ninth-ranked Minnesota bounced back from their damaging Week 11 road loss against Iowa to subdue Northwestern 38-22 on Saturday while narrowly covering the spread to move to a blistering 7-1 ATS over their last eight games.

While the vastly improved Gophers are very legitimate this season and playing at home, Wisconsin has the better statistical defense in this annual battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe by almost seven points. With the road team going 4-0-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the underdog going 8-3-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings, I’m thinking Minnesota is ripe for the upset loss here!

Pick: Wisconsin 28 Minnesota 24
