The rate at which the 2015 College Football lines are producing top-team upsets is quite alarming, if not scaring to some college football betting enthusiasts. But then again, that’s just the nature of this business—you win some and lose some. And given that different games are influenced by different factors, some of which are unpredictable even to the best of analysts or even computer programs, no one can ever be 100% right every time. That said, I’m really high on these Week 5 college football SU picks, so I welcome you to share into my confidence…
No. 13 Alabama at No. 8 Georgia
SU Pick: Georgia
Heisman favorite Nick Chubb and QB Grayson Lambert (76.5 completion rate this season) are a lethal combo, but Alabama’s fierce secondary will be the toughest test for the Bulldogs so far this season. Meanwhile, Alabama’s offense has struggled to find its rhythm, with RB Derrick Henry being the only constant source of attack for the Tide. With that, Alabama will give a strong showing on both ends of the field, but the Bulldogs are likely to carry the day due to their superior offense.
No. 3 Ole Miss at No. 25 Florida
SU Pick: Ole Miss
The Gators are a good team, averaging 33.5 PPG and 404 YPG in the offense. Unfortunately, they are going against an Ole Miss team with superior offensive numbers (55 PPG and 544 YPG), along with a very mean defense. So even with a strong performance from Florida at home, the Rebels should eventually find a way of claiming the win.
No. 21 Mississippi State at No. 14 Texas A&M
SU Pick: Mississippi State
Both the Bulldogs and aggies have a proven potential to score points, but the Bulldogs will have a winning advantage in this game because of their superior defense.
No. 6 Notre Dame at No. 12 Clemson
SU Pick: Clemson
Clemson comes into this game with a home-field advantage and a superior QB in Deshaun Watson, which gives them great edge over the Fighting Irish. Added to the fact that the Fighting Irish are just 2-10 in true road games against ranked opponents, this game has Clemson’ name written all over it in the win column.
Other Top SU Picks:
Boston College at Duke, Pick: Duke
North Carolina at Georgia Tech, Pick: North Carolina
Kansas State at No. 20 Oklahoma State, Pick: Oklahoma State
Arkansas at Tennessee, Pick: Tennessee
Arizona State at No. 7 UCLA, Pick: UCLA
Arizona at No. 18 Stanford, Pick: Arizona
