TV: SEC TV ESPN3
Spread: Georgia -3.5

Why Bet on the Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas (3-3 SU, 5-1 ATS) suffered their second straight heartbreaking SEC loss and enter this contest looking for their first conference win after suffering 15 consecutive losses in SEC play, a span that dates back to the 2012 season under interim coach John L. Smith. Second-year coach Bret Bielema was fighting back tears following the loss. “The part that kills me is for my players, their families,” Bielema said with a wavering voice. “Because they are winners. I can’t give them a `W’ … They’re getting frustrated. It is very frustrating for me.”

Quarterback Brandon Allen completed 21-of-40 passes for 246 yards with one touchdown and one interception, which helped seal the comeback win for Alabama.”We’re so close,” Allen said. “There are so many just little things throughout the whole game that we could’ve done better to win that game. And it’s just disappointing to leave those things on the field.”

Why Bet on the Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia (5-1 SU, 3-3 ATS) absolutely throttled Missouri in its 34-0 Week smackdown to easily cash in as a 3-point road favorite and snap a modest two-game ATS skid. Making the win even more impressive was the fact that the Bulldogs did it all without superstar running back Todd Gurley, the former leading candidate to win the Heisman Trophy. Backup running back Nick Chubb rushed 38 times for 143 yards and one touchdown in place of Gurley and the Bulldogs never missed a beat.

“Everybody said that Georgia was dead without Todd,” Chubb said. “But we proved that we’re still in it.” Gurley was suspended indefinitely on Thursday while the school investigates an alleged violation of NCAA rules that has been reported to be allegedly received $400 to sign 80 pieces of memorabilia on the Georgia campus. Gurley’s teammates say they were undaunted by his absence. “We need to show everybody and show ourselves that there’s 10 other guys on offense that are making this thing go,” quarterback Hutson Mason said.

My Betting Prediction and Pick

I know the Georgia Bulldogs pounded the Missouri Tigers a week ago and that Arkansas has come up just a bit short the last two times out, but I really like the way Arkansas has been playing this season and expect them to get their first SEC win at some point very, very soon, like in this contest!

I’m going to back the Arkansas Razorbacks to get the outright win and shock the world! The Bulldogs are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall, 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and a discouraging 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 conference games. The Razorbacks are 6-0 ATS in their L/6 games against a team with a winning record and a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and I like them for the huge upset.

My Pick: Arkansas +3.5 Points
