Lets Take a Closer Look @ the Regular Season Wins Matchups
— Sports Illustrated (@SInow) August 27, 2015
Ohio State Buckeyes -½ -105 vs. Seattle Seahawks +½ -125
Analysis This is a really good pairing despite the fact that Seattle plays four more regular season games than Ohio State. I like the Seahawks to record a dozen wins in 2015 with losses at Green Bay in Week 2, at home against Pittsburgh in Week 12, at Baltimore two weeks later and in their regular season finale at Arizona.
In the case of the Ohio State Buckeyes, I believe their two toughest games will be their regular season opener at Virginia Tech and their regular season finale at Michigan. The Buckeyes have boatloads of talented players up and down this roster, but something tells me that Jim Harbaugh is going to have his Michigan Wolverines in an absolute frenzy as they get set to face their Big Ten conference rivals. Call me crazy, but I like Michigan to hold it down at home and hand the Buckeyes their only loss of the regular season. Seattle wins this wager…narrowly!
The Pick: Seattle +½
TCU Horned Frogs -½ -145 vs. Dallas Cowboys +½ +115
Analysis There’s no sense in beating around the bush with this pick, mostly because I believe the Dallas Cowboys are set to take a sizable step backwards in 2015, while simultaneously expecting the TCU Horned Frogs to likely run the table.
I think it’s quite possible that Dallas could suffer three or four losses in their first five regular season games. After beating the Giants in their opener, I’ve got the ‘Boys falling to the Eagles in Philly, followed by a possible home loss to Matt Ryan and the rejuvenated Atlanta Falcons. Following that affair, I like Dallas to fall in New Orleans before coming back home to suffer another loss against Tom Brady and the Patriots. In the end, I think Dallas wins somewhere between 8-10 regular season games.
TCU on the other hand, looks like a great candidate to run the table, with the Horned Frogs’ toughest contests likely coming in Week 9 at Oklahoma State and in their regular season finale at home against Baylor. Still, I don’t think there’s anyway that TCU loses this wager.
The Pick: TCU –½
Florida State Seminoles -½ vs. -140 vs. Miami Dolphins +½ +110
AnalysisThe Florida State Seminoles may have lost Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jameis Winston to the NFL Draft, but I believe the ‘Noles are still looking at a Nine-win season at the very least with possible losses against Louisville, Georgia Tech and Clemson.
The Miami Dolphins, on the other hand, are looking at winning between 7-9 regular season games in 2015 with ‘definite’ losses coming against the Pats, Bills and Eagles in Weeks 8-10. The Fins could theoretically drop their final five or six regular season games at the Jets, at home against Baltimore and the Giants, on the road against San Diego and at home against Indy and New England. This is a really close call, but in the end, I’m going with Florida State -1/2 game.
The Pick: Florida State –½
