Two College Football Betting Matches You Can’t Miss this Week
With so many games played during the weekend, you can always be assured that there will be a few gems in the mix that provide fans with great college football betting action. Week 9 was no exception, as we were treated to a number of instant classics, including one that saw a Top 3 team take an unexpected hit. So as we enter another week, let’s review the action from the weekend and get ready for the coming round on Week 10.
Auburn vs Ole Miss
Date/Time: Saturday, November 1, 7:00 PM
Location: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field, Oxford, Mississippi
Ole Miss: -2-110
What happened last Weekend?
The Ole Miss Rebels were riding high, with their fans already imagining what it would be like to be included in the first college football playoffs. Those dreams took a hit on Saturday when #24 ranked LSU sent Ole Miss out of Death Valley with their first loss of the season. Things could have been different, though, if QB Bo Wallace had chosen a safer option on what turned out to be the final play of the game. With Ole Miss driving, Wallace took a shot at the end zone instead of dumping a short pass down the sideline in hopes of getting in field goal range. The pass was picked off on the one and LSU won 10-7.
That was a game that was expected to be close, but very few people believed that the South Carolina Gamecocks had what it took to hang with #5 Auburn. Everyone was wrong, though, as the Cocks went toe to toe in what amounted to a gridiron prizefight. It was the tigers who landed the final punch, though, improving to 6-1 on the season with a 42-35 win. Auburn RB Cameron Artis-Payne was the man, running for 167 yards on just 25 carries.
In fewer words, Ole Miss loss and Auburn’s amazing comeback will definitely impact both teams heading to their Week 10 match. The Rebels will go out for blood, and the Tigers will try to keep the momentum alive and cement in the top 5 games in the nation.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs Mississippi State Bulldogs
MISSISSIPPI STATE: -10½-110
While most of the attention was fixed on the South Carolina/Auburn game , Mississippi State also had a substantially good performance. The Bulldogs resumed their unbeaten run with a 45-31 win over the Kentucky Wildcats on the road, and locked the No.1 position in the rankings for third straight week. They head back home next weekend to take on another SEC rival, and this time things are expected to be a bit tougher for them. After three straight losses to SEC foes, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia, the Razorbacks recovered their winning path with a victory over the UAB Blazers. Despite the poor results and other issued displayed by the Razorbacks in the previews weeks, watching two conference foes going head to head is always exciting and entertaining, so chances are these two rivals bring us a hell of a game and an excellent football betting opportunity.
