NCAA Football Week 8 Expert Parlay Betting Picks

It’s not every week that the number one team in the nation wins by three scores and can’t hold onto that coveted No. 1 ranking. It seems that the Florida State Seminoles have lost the magic even after beating Syracuse and Mississippi State was more impressive in a critical victory over Auburn. What’s more, Ole Miss controlled its game against Texas A&M and earned the No. 3 spot in that AP Poll. Now onto why you are really here. My college football odds week 8 parlay picks.

NCAAF Week 8 Two-Team Parlay Picks

  • Virginia Tech Hokies -2.5
  • Baylor Bears -7.5

Virginia Tech Hokies at Pittsburgh Panthers
When: Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 pm ET
TV:  ESPN
Betting Line:  Virginia Tech -2.5

Analysis: 59% of football handicappers are all over the Hokies in this matchup. It’s hard to go against those handicappers when you take a look at the trends. Pittsburgh is 1 and 4 ATS in their last 5 home games. More importantly, the Panthers started out the season going 2 and 0 against the spread. They are now 2-3-1 ATS. Even more disturbing than that is the fact that the Panthers have lost 3 straight games. Virginia Tech has won 2 straight and goes into this game off of a bye. This could be a low-scoring affair, but Virginia Tech just appears to be the better team.

Pick: Virginia Tech -2.5

No. 4 Baylor Bears at West Virginia Mountaineers
When:  Saturday, Oct. 18 at 12:00 pm ET
TV: Fox Sports 1
Betting Line:  Baylor -7.5

Analysis: West Virginia is on a losing streak when it comes to the spread. The Mountaineers are 0 and 3 in their last 3 games. They were favored in two of those contests. The problem that West Virginia is likely to have in this game is that their defense is allowing close to 400 yards and 27 points per game. Baylor averages 622 yards and 52 points per game. Baylor’s defense usually allows only 303 yards even though it got taken to the woodshed against TCU last week. The Bears are also 4-1-1 against the spread. They should bounce back to their spread covering ways this Saturday.

Pick: Baylor -7.5

NCAAF Week 8 Three-Team Parlay Picks

  • Virginia Tech Hokies  -2.5
  • Baylor Bears -7.5
  • Kansas State Wildcats +8

No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats at No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners
When:  Saturday, Oct. 11 at 12:00 pm ET
TV:  ESPN
Betting Line:  Oklahoma -8

Analysis: The Sooners followed up their first loss of the season by underperforming against Texas and winning the Red River Shootout by only 5 points, 31 to 26, as a huge -16.5 point favorite. Oklahoma just doesn’t seem to be as hungry as it was in its early season victories against Tennessee and West Virginia. That’s in contrast to Kansas State who has covered in 3 straight games and should probably have an unblemished record. The lone loss was to Auburn and K-State had plenty of chances in that one.

Pick: Kansas State +8

NCAAF Week 8 Four-Team Parlay Picks

  • Virginia Tech Hokies -2.5
  • Baylor Bears -7.5
  • Kansas State Wildcats +8
  • Ole Miss Rebels -16.5

Tennessee Volunteers at No. 3 Ole Miss Rebels
When:  Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7:00 pm ET
TV:  ESPN
Betting Line:  Ole Miss -16.5

Analysis: Tennessee has been competitive lately. The Vols lost by only 3 points, 32 to 35, to Georgia and by 1 point, 9 to 10, to Florida. But Ole Miss appears to be on another level after victories over Alabama and a huge road win over Texas A&M in Week 7. The Rebels are also 5-0-1 against the spread this season and have one of the better defenses in the nation. It’s hard to imagine Tennessee’s young offense being able to stick with the Rebels. Ole Miss figures to roll.

Pick: Ole Miss -16.5
