2016 NFC North Total Wins Betting Predictions

Written by on April 20, 2016

After claiming their first division title since 2009, to stop a four-year title winning streak by the Green Bay Packers, Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings will look to duplicate their surprising feat from a year ago. Whether Minnesota wins the NFC North title in 2016 or not, you’re going to find out just how many victories lie in store for the young Vikes and every other NFC North Super Bowl hopeful as I examine each team’s 2016 Total Win 2016 Total Win NFL Odds. With that said and NFL teams across the country gearing up for the 2016 NFL Draft, let’s rock and roll!

2016 NFC North Total Wins Betting Predictions

Chicago Bears (6.5)

The Bears (6-10) couldn’t beat a win total of 6.5 last season and I have them winning six games again in 2016. Chicago lost offensive coordinator Adam Gase and I believe that could be damaging to Jay Cutler’s psyche. I have Chicago losing home games against Minnesota and Green Bay – while going a winless 0-8 on the road. The good news for Chicago is that half of their 10 losses came by six points or less with four of those coming by four points or less. Make no mistake about it, this wager is a tough call. The Pick: Chicago 6-10/Under

Detroit Lions (7.0)

The Lions (7-9) have won at least seven games in each of the past three seasons, but they’re not reaching that figure in 2016! My esteemed colleague Brandon Williams likes the Bears to get five wins in 2016, but I’m going with four for a Lions tem that will be without Calvin Johnson for the first time in a decade. I have Detroit suffering road losses at Indianapolis, Green Bay, Chicago, Houston, Minnesota, New York and Dallas while also suffering home losses against Philadelphia, Washington, Minnesota, New Orleans, Green Bay to finish at 4-12 and well under their seven-win O/U Total. The Pick: Detroit 4-12/Under

Green Bay Packers (10.5)

The Packers struggled with inconsistency last season and saw their streak of claiming four straight NFC North titles come to a screeching halt. Still, the Packers have Aaron Rodgers under center, so they have a chance to win double-digits games every season. Green Bay (10-6) failed to top last year’s 11.0 season win total but will have No.1 wide receiver Jordy Nelson back in 2016. I’ve got the Packers winning at Jacksonville, Tennessee, Washington, Philadelphia and Detroit while winning home dates against the Lions, Giants, Cowboys, Bears, Texans and Vikings to finish with 11 wins and play just over their 2016 total. The Pick: Green Bay 11-5/Over

Minnesota Vikings – (9.0)

I love the young Vikings and the way that head coach Mike Zimmer has put his team together. The Vikings took another step forward last season by winning 11 games to bag the NFC North division title. Now, heading into their first season in their new state-of-the-art stadium, the Vikings and their rabid fan base are expecting even bigger and better things this coming season. I like Minnesota to win road dates against Tennessee, Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit and Jacksonville while winning home dates against Green Bay, the New York Giants, Houston, Detroit, Dallas and Chicago. Call me crazy, but I’ve got Teddy Bridgewater and the rest of the blossoming Vikings winning 11 games in 2016. The Pick: Minnesota 11-5/Over
