While some teams have very tricky win-loss odds that could leave you crumpled on the floor with a massive ‘odds-producing’ headache, the handful of win total picks that you’re about to get look like they’re as close to that ‘sure-thing’ wager we just talked about. Okay, let’s get started.A Closer Look At The 2017 NFL Regular Season Win Total Predictions
New England Patriots 11.5 Wins
After opening up with an initial win total of 11 games, so much money was bet on Tom Brady and company that oddsmakers moved their odds to 11.5 games. No matter, this figure still makes the Patriots easy picks to go over 11.5 wins seeing as how New England has won at least a dozen games in each of the last seven seasons. I had to look really hard to find four losses on new England’s schedule this coming season, but I think the Pats could fall on the road at Miami, Oakland and Denver while losing only once at home to Kansas City. No matter how you look at it, Bill Belichick’s squad gets to 12 wins barring an early season-ending injury to Brady.Pick: 12-4
Houston 8.5 Wins
Head coach Bill O’Brien has gotten the Texans to an identical nine wins in each of the last three seasons – and that was without any competent play at quarterback. Now with veteran Tom Savage and more importantly, rookie Deshaun Watson, set to man the signal-0calling duties in Houston, I believe nine wins in 2017 is easily doable, especially knowing the kind of defense the Texans play. I see home wins coming against Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Cleveland, Kansas City and San Francisco and road wins over the Jaguars, Ravens and Los Angeles Rams at the very least to finish at 9-7 again in 2017 or possibly 10-6. Either way, I like the Texans to top their modest win total odds.Pick: 9-7
