If you’re fired up about the quickly approaching slate NFL playoffs betting action that will take place this coming weekend and you’re looking to maximize your chances of cashing in early and often, then you’re in for a treat thanks to the pair of Over/Under total picks that you’re about to get on both NFC divisional round matchups.

Since haste makes waste and Saturday’s NFC divisional round showdown is just over 48 hours away, let’s get started.

2018 NFC Divisional Round Over/Under Betting Picks

Atlanta Falcons (11-6) at Philadelphia Eagles (13-3)

  • When: Saturday, January 13, 2018, 4:35 PM ET
  • Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
  • TV: NBC
  • Radio: 92.9 FM (Atlanta) / 94 WIP (Philadelphia)
  • Live Stream: NFL Game Pass
  • NFC Divisional Round Betting Odds: Atlanta Falcons -3 (Over/Under at 41 points)

Matt Ryan and company ranked 15th in scoring during the regular season (22.1 ppg) but, still have the ability to put points on the board thanks to their core group of gifted skill position players like superstar wide receiver Julio Jones and running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Atlanta has scored 20 points or more in four of their last five games dating back to the regular season.

However, the biggest difference in Atlanta from last season to this one is that the Falcons now have a defense that ranked ninth in total yards and eighth in points allowed (19.7 ppg).

For Philadelphia, the Eagles finished the regular season ranked third in scoring (28.6 ppg) and a stellar fourth in points allowed (18.6 ppg).

The Under is 6-0 in Atlanta’s last 6 games overall and 4-0 in the Falcons’ last 4 games following a straight up win. The Under is also 6-0 in Atlanta’s last half-dozen games against their NFC counterparts and 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

In Philadelphia’s last 8 playoff home games the Under is 7-0-1 and 4-1 in the Eagles’ last 5 home games. The Under is also 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings between these two teams, but guess what? I’m going with a pick for this NFC divisional matchup to play just over the 41-point total. I’m thinking Atlanta wins, with a score of 24-21 or something in that ballpark. Take the Over people!

Pick: Over 41 Total Points

New Orleans Saints (12-5) at Minnesota Vikings (13-3)

  • When: Sunday, January 14, 2018, 4:40 PM ET
  • Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
  • TV: FOX
  • Radio: 105.3 FM (New Orleans) / 100.3 FM (Minnesota)
  • Streaming Option: NFL Live
  • NFC Divisional Round Betting Odds: Minnesota Vikings -4 (Over/Under at 46.5 points)

New Orleans beat Carolina for the third time this season in their 31-26 wild-card win over the Panthers on Sunday as Brees passed for 376 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while rookie Alvin Kamara added one rushing score in the win. However, New Orleans also got man-handled in their 29-19 Week 1 loss against Minnesota while getting held to just 60 rushing yards.

The Saints come in as the betting underdog for their NFC Divisional duel against the Vikings.

Of course, that was when the Saints still had the veteran running back Adrian Peterson on their roster and when the Vikes were featuring rookie Dalvin Cook as their No. 1 running back.

While a lot has changed since that Week 1 meeting, what you really need to know is that New Orleans ranked fourth in scoring (28.0 ppg) and 10th in points allowed (20.4 ppg). Minnesota ranked 10th in scoring (23.9 ppg) and first in points allowed (15.8 ppg).

The Over is 7-2 in the Saints’ last 9 games following an ATS loss and 9-3-1 in their last 13 playoff games. However, the Under is 4-0-1 in Minnesota’s last 5 playoff home games, 7-1-1 in their last 9 playoff games and 5-1 in their last 6 home games. I’m thinking the total of this contest is a bit too high and that the Under is the way to go in this divisional round showdown.

Minnesota gets the home win, 24-17 to play Under the 46.5-point total.

Pick: Under 46.5 Total Points
