Tampa Bay at Philadelphia -3

When: 7:00 PM ET Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA Philadelphia may be playing at home in this preseason opener, but for me, with this game coming down to the play of each team’s backup, I’m going with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to get the win behind backup Mike Glennon to outplay Philly’s Carson Wentz, the No. 2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Glennon could almost assuredly start for a handful of teams right now while Wentz will be getting his very first action against a NFL opponent.

My Pick: Tampa Bay 28 Philadelphia 24

Washington at Atlanta -3

When: 7:00 PM ET Where: Georgia Dome, Atlanta With mostly inexperienced backup Sean Renfree taking over for starter Matt Ryan and Washington backup Colt McCoy replacing starter Kirk Cousins, I believe the Washington Redskins are the pick to get the outright road wins as a 3-point underdog. The Skin were +24 a year ago in scoring while going 3-1 during the preseason.

My Pick: Washington 24 Atlanta 21

Miami at NY Giants -3

When: 7:00 PM ET Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ I know Miami went 1-3 last preseason, but the Fins are my pick to take out a Giants team that will turn to mediocre backup Ryan Nassib to get the win over a Dolphins team whose backup, Matt Moore, is actually better than their starter, Ryan Tannehill.

My Pick: Miami 28 NY Giants 27

Oakland at Arizona -3

When: 10:00 PM ET Where: University of Phoenix Stadium I’m going with the rebuilding Oakland Raiders to get the upset road win for a couple of reasons. First, Raiders backup Matt McGloin will outplay Arizona counterparts Drew Stanton ad Matt Barkley. Second, the young Raiders will likely be flying around all over the field while the more experienced Cardinals simply want to get through this affair injury-free.

My Pick: Oakland 30 Arizona 21
