How to Bet on the Cleveland at Washington Odds, Free Pick & TV Info

When: Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: FedExField TV: CBS Radio: Cleveland / Washington Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Odds: Washington Redskins -7.5 Over/Under: 45.5

Why Bet on the Cleveland Browns?

The Browns are completely desperate – and have the better defense in this matchup. Cleveland couldn’t complete its comeback in their 30-24 Week 3 loss against Miami but managed to cover the online NFL betting odds as a 9.5-point road dog in rookie quarterback Cody Kessler’s first career start. The former USC signal-caller completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 244 yards with zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Veteran hybrid receiver/quarterback Terrelle Pryor and tight end Gary Barnidge have combined for 347 receiving yards on 23 catches while running back Duke Johnson Jr. has caught a team-high 12 passes. Running back Isaiah Crowell has rushed for a team-high 274 yards and two touchdowns, but the Browns are allowing a whopping 28.0 points per game to rank 27th.

Why Bet on the Washington Redskins?

The Redskins are still desperate – and playing at home! Washington picked up a thrilling 29-27 comeback win over the Giants in Week 3 to cash in as a 3.5-point road dog. For the season, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins is completing 63.7 percent of his passes for 989 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Cousins has tossed at least two touchdown passes in four of his last six games. Veteran wideout DeSean Jackson and tight end Jordan Reed have combined for 428 receiving yards and one touchdown while Jamison Crowder has recorded a team-high 16 receptions. Starting running back Matt Jones has rushed for a team-high 150 yards, but has scored just one touchdown. Defensively, Washington is allowing a whopping 30.7 points per game to rank 30th in the league.

My Expert Prediction and Pick

The Washington Redskins got their first win of the season by coming back against the Giants in Week 3 and I think they’re a good pick to get the SU win at home in this Week 4 matchup against Cleveland. Having said that, let me also say that I like the Cleveland Browns to get the ATS cover as a double-digit road underdog for a several reasons. First and foremost, the Browns are only averaging four fewer points per game than Washington and have reached the 20-point plateau in each of their last two games. Not only that, but Cleveland (28.0 ppg) is also allowing fewer points per game defensively than Washington (30.6 ppg). Last but not least, I also believe Cleveland has the huge coaching edge in this affair with Hue Jackson being far and away a better coach than Washington’s Jay Gruden, who isn’t even ht beast head coach in his own family! My Pick: Washington 28 Cleveland 27
