Eagles vs. Rams Game Analysis & NFL Week 14 Betting Pick.

Philadelphia At Washington 2016 NFL Winning Predictions

Written by on October 14, 2016

The NFC East was always going to be one of the tighter divisions in the NFL, and it’s certainly living up to that billing. It’s been the season of the rookie QB in the East, with Dak Prescott of the Cowboys and Carson Wentz of the Eagles leading their teams to winning records in the early part of the year. Wentz and the Eagles fell to their first defeat of the season last week, and are now trailing the Cowboys who are on top of the division with a 4-1 record. Things could get a little tighter this week, as the Eagles have to take a trip to Landover to take on the Washington Redskins. After a bit of a shaky start, the Redskins have righted the ship and are now sitting at 3-2 on the season. Washington have reeled off three straight wins, and look to be rounding into form. They may be the home team here, but they will be coming into this one as a 2.5-point online betting underdog.

Why bet on the Philadelphia Eagles

No-one really knew what to expect from the Philadelphia Eagles this season, especially after they decided to go with Carson Wentz at QB. The rookie has been spectacular, though, throwing for over 1,000 yards and 7 TD’s. Better yet, he has only thrown a single pick, but that one proved to be a crucial one in the loss to the Detroit Lions last week. Wentz has looked very confident in the pocket this season, but it’s going to be interesting to see how he bounces back after the disappointment of his first INT and loss in the NFL. The Eagles have gone 1-1 on the road this year, and have the same record ATS in those games.

Why bet on the Washington Redskins

The Redskins took a bit of a chance by not signing QB Kirk Cousins to a big deal in the offseason, as it may end up costing them a whole lot more if he lights it up again this year. Things didn’t start out too well for Washington, with both of their opening games ending in defeat. They have done a good job of turning things around though and have now won three straight. Much of the credit for those wins has to go to Cousins, especially when you consider that the Redskins have not had much luck moving the ball on the ground. The Skins have also covered in each of the last three weeks.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The last 4 meetings between these two teams has seen the Redskins go 3-1, whilst also covering the spread in all 4 games. I like them to cover again here, and I also like them to get the win straight up. I do expect it to be a close one, though.
