NFL Predictions For Last 2 Weeks Of The Season

Written by on December 13, 2016

Who’s getting into the playoffs and who’s getting the short end of the stick? Which teams should you back over the last couple of weeks of the 2016 NFL regular season and which ones should you either wager against or avoid altogether? If you’ve got questions, I’ve got answers!

In Depth Analysis On The NFL Predictions For Last 2 Weeks Of The Season

AFC East

The Miami Dolphins (8-5) have had a solid season, but they are not getting into the playoffs, although I’ve always like Matt Moore better than Ryan Tannehill. Three final games, all against their division rivals, do not bode well for the Fins. Well…okay, the Jets are a joke, but Buffalo is desperate and New England is elite.

AFC West

The Chiefs (10-3) win the division – and take care of business by beating Denver on Christmas Eve and San Diego in their finale. Oakland (10-3) is in too and will spank, both San Diego and Indianapolis in the next couple of weeks. The Broncos get left on the outside looking in after losing to New England and Kansas City – and Oakland – down the stretch.

AFC North

Everyone is high on the Steelers (8-5), but I’m thinking the Baltimore Ravens (7-5) are the pick for me because they have the better defense in my estimation. The winner of the Christmas Day matchup between the Steelers and Ravens will almost assuredly decide the division winner, but again, I’m going on record to say the pick is Baltimore.

AFC South

Simply put, I say back Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans (7-6) to win the AFC South. I’m really high on the Titans right now, especially after seeing the way they beat overconfident Denver this past weekend.  Matchup against Kansas City looks daunting this coming weekend, but Tennessee finishes up against lowly Jacksonville and at home against Houston in two winnable games.

NFC East

Back Eli Manning and the New York Giants (9-4) to reach the postseason – and then throw some money on them to pull off at least one postseason upset, if not two. I know the G-Men have their struggles on offense, but New York also has the Manning postseason factor working for them, although their final three-game slate against the Lions, Eagles and Skins is no walk in the park. Washington needs to win out and I believe they’re offering a ton of value in matchups against Carolina this coming weekend, followed by a game at Chicago and lastly, at home against the Giants in their finale.

NFC West

The Seahawks (8-4-1) are the only team in the NFC West that will get into the playoffs, However, Seattle has been wildly inconsistent this season, so, I say, if they play on the road in the postseason, all bets are off.

NFC North

Simply put, back Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to win – and cover the spread in each of their next two games against Chicago and Minnesota. Unfortunately for the Packers, they’re going to have their hands full against Detroit in their regular season finale.

NFC South

Not only do Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-5) win the NFC South over Atlanta (8-5), but I’m thinking they’re the pick against Dallas when they visit the Boys this coming weekend. The Bucs close the regular season out with winnable matchups against New Orleans and Carolina.
