Six NFL Week 4 Games Look Like Exciting Affairs Just Waiting to Happen!

Sunday, October 2

Indianapolis at Jacksonville 9:30 AM ET

Analysis: The Jacksonville Jaguars will be in all-out ‘desperation mode’ in Week 4 when they host the Indianapolis Colts in their AFC South division matchup. The Colts got their first win of the season in Week 3 by recording a 26-22 comeback win over San Diego on Sunday, but are clearly not firing on all cylinders. The Jags are still looking for their first victory after their latest defeat, a heartbreaking 19-17 loss against Baltimore this weekend. Jacksonville did manage to rout the Colts 51-16 late last season to snap a six-game losing streak against their AFC South division rivals, although starting quarterback Andrew Luck didn’t suit up for Indy. Jacksonville needs to improve its scoring as they rank 27th in points per game, but the Colts defense has been almost non-existent this season as Indy ranks a pitiful 31st in points allowed (31.7 ppg). The Colts are 2-4 ATS in their last six road games while Jacksonville has gone 5-2 ATS in its last seven home games. Make no mistake, this Week 4 AFC South matchup is must-see TV NFL pigskin bettors!

Carolina at Atlanta 1:00 PM ET

Analysis: The Atlanta Falcons play this evening, but no matter what happens in their Week 3 matchup against New Orleans, the Carolina Panthers will be in all-out ‘desperation mode’ after getting completely manhandled in their humbling 22-10 Week 3 loss to Minnesota. The Panthers have been held to 20 points or less in two of three games this season while Atlanta is ranked second in scoring (29.5 ppg) heading into tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup. The Falcons were the only team in the league to beat the Panthers last season and have gone 2-2 SU over their last four meetings against Carolina overall. Could Cam Newton and company fall to 1-3 by dropping this game? Whether it happens or not, this Week 4 divisional battle is must-see TV!

Oakland at Baltimore 1:00 PM ET

This Week 4 AFC matchup is a classic offense versus defense pairing. Oakland is ranked second in total offense and eighth in scoring while Baltimore is ranked second in total defense and fourth in points allowed. The unbeaten Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and have plenty of motivation as they look to avenge last year’s 37-33 road loss against the blossoming Raiders. Oakland has compiled a near-perfect 6-1 ATS mark in their last seven road games while Baltimore has gone 2-9-1 ATS in its last 12 home games.

Tennessee at Houston 1:00 PM ET

The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans will both look to bounce back from losses in Week 3. The Texans looked absolutely clueless in their stunning 27-0 shutout loss against New England while Tennessee was on the wrong end of a narrow 17-10 loss against Oakland. Tennessee enters this affair looking to snap a four-game losing streak against Houston and they should have a chance, seeing as how both teams are tied for dead last in scoring at 14.0 points per game. While Houston is ranked a solid seventh in points allowed (17.7 ppg), Tennessee has surprised defensively in the early going, ranking a shocking ninth in points allowed (19.0 ppg). The Texans are 2-0 ATS at home but Tennessee covered the spread in its only road game so far this season. The Texans have covered the spread in five straight against Tennessee.

Buffalo at New England 1:00 PM ET

The New England Patriots will look to get one more victory before Tom Brady comes back while extending their dominance over their AFC East rivals when they host the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. The Pats shut out Houston as rookie third-string backup Jacoby Brisett made his first NFL start. The Bills got their first win of the 2016 season by manhandling Arizona in Week 3 and will now look to become the first team to beat the Patriots this season. New England won both regular season meetings a year ago and have won eight of the last nine meetings overall. Even without Tom Brady, the Pats are ranked seventh in scoring (27.0 ppg) and an impressive fifth in points allowed (15.0 ppg). Buffalo is ranked 14th in scoring (23.7 ppg) and 17th in points allowed (22.7 ppg). New England has won an overwhelming 23 of the last 25 games against Buffalo and 14 of 15 at home against the Bills.

Kansas City at Pittsburgh 8:30 PM ET

The Steelers and Chiefs hook up on Sunday night Kansas City completely overwhelmed the Jets in their commanding 24-3 Week 3 win while Pittsburgh got thoroughly outplayed in their stunning 34-3 loss to Philadelphia and star rookie signal-caller Carson Wentz. Will the Chiefs get the road upset or will Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers bounce back from their debacle of a loss against Philly? Kansas City is averaging 23.0 points per game (17th) while Pittsburgh is averaging 21.7 points per contest (19th). The Chiefs are limiting their opponents to just 16.3 points per game (sixth) while the Steelers are allowing 22.0 points per contest (14th). The Chiefs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games but Pittsburgh has gone 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against the Chiefs.
