2016 Indianapolis Colts NFL Betting Guide
After missing nine games because of injuries in 2015, gifted quarterback Andrew Luck will look to lead his Indianapolis Colts to brand new heights in 2016 and might even better their NFL odds this season. Thanks to this killer NFL betting guide on Indy’s must-bet matchups in 2016, you’re going to have a good idea of just how far Luck can lead the Colts as they look t get back in the postseason after failing to do so a year ago.
Here’s a Quick Look at the 2016 Indianapolis Colts NFL Betting Guide
Now, let’s get started with the Colts’ Week 1 matchup against Detroit.
— Indianapolis Colts (@Colts) July 17, 2016
Detroit Lions at Indianapolis (-4, 50)
This regular season opener might look like a pairing of two mediocre teams that underachieved in a big way last season, but the fact of the mater is that Week 1 matchup features two of the most explosive aerial attacks in all of football.
Matthew Stafford and the Lions ranked ninth in passing in 2015 and won their final three games of the season and six of their last eight overall while covering the NFL betting line in each SU victory.
While the Colts ranked a modest 22nd in passing last season, the return of Luck will almost assuredly put them back in the Top 10 in passing and total offense. Make no mistake about it, this Week 1 opener is a must-bet matchup for Andrew Luck and the Colts.
Indianapolis at Denver Broncos (-5)
This Week 2 matchup may not have the twist of Luck going up against Indy predecessor Peyton Manning, but it’s still a must-bet matchup seeing as how Denver won it all last season, but has largely struggled to beat Indianapolis since Luck’s arrival in 2012. The Colts are 3-1 SU in four meetings since and a perfect 9-0 ATS in their last nine meetings, although Manning was under center for the Colts in five of those victories.
Indianapolis at Houston Texans (-1.5)
This Week 6 matchup should be a thriller with the Houston Texans winning the AFC South in 2015 and beating the Colts in Indianapolis to snap a six-game SU losing streak. Will Luck and the Colts get their revenge or will a revamped Texans team and new starting quarterback Brock Osweiler ‘hold it down’ at home the get the ‘W’? Either way, this pairing is a must-bet matchup!
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis (-4)
I think this Week 8 pairing of Super Bowl title contenders could turn out to be one of the most exciting games of the year. The Chiefs went 11-5 a year ago and have plans on getting past the divisional round after winning one playoff game a year ago. Kansas City could give Indianapolis big trouble in this must-bet matchup even with Luck under center.
Indianapolis at Green Bay Packers (-6)
Can the Colts cover the NFL betting line as a near touchdown road dog? I think so! No matter who comes out on top, Andrew Luck versus Aaron Rodgers is must-see TV and a must-bet matchup. As a side not, Luck led Indianapolis to a 30-27 win back in 2012 in his only career meeting against Rodgers.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-1.5) at Indianapolis
Not only will the Colts look to pick up a big home win in this Week 12 showdown, but Andrew Luck will look to best Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger for the first time after suffering two career losses, not including Indy’s humbling 45-10 loss to the Steelers in Week 13 late last season. Right now, I say Luck could very well light up a Pittsburgh secondary that was mediocre at best last season.
Houston Texans at Indianapolis (-4)
I’m going to urge you to keep it simple and back the Colts to bring home the bacon as a 4-point home favorite while trying to beat out Houston for the AFC South title and an accompanying spot in the playoffs.
