2018 NFL Week 1 6-Team Parlay

2018 NFL Week 1 6-Team Parlay

NFL Week 1’s first game is this Thursday, Sep. 6. The Atlanta Falcons battle the Philadelphia Eagles. Although that game isn’t a part of my 6-Team blowout, I have added games that I believe gives the parlay a chance.

2018 NFL Week 1 6-Team Parlay

Sep. 9

Cincinnati Bengals +3 at Indianapolis Colts -3 Finally healthy, Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck should have a great season. But, the Colts lost starting running back Marlon Mack for the season. Cincinnati’s got a decent pass-rush while trading for LT Cordy Glenn shores up their rushing attack and protects QB Andy Dalton. The Bengals win this straight up. It’s an easy decision to take the points.

NFL Week 1 Parlay Pick: Cincinnati Bengals

Buffalo Bills +7 ½ at Baltimore Ravens -7 ½

Buffalo starts quarterback Nathan Peterman after they traded A.J. McCarron. The Bills could have problems along the offensive line because they traded their starting left tackle to the Bengals. Buffalo’s defense will be okay. Baltimore’s up against it this season. During the NFL Preseason, though, the Ravens looked great. It’s hard to see Peterman having much luck on the road in his first real NFL start. Baltimore rolls.

Jacksonville Jaguars -3 at New York Giants +3

The Giants are much better on offense than they were last season. Saquon Barkley pretty much guarantees that. However, Barkley didn’t play after NFL Preseason Week 1 due to an injured hamstring. Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t played since Week 2 last season. Jacksonville brings the most fearsome defense in the league into this game. I like the Giants to compete for the NFC East Division. I don’t think they’ve got a shot against the Jaguars.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +10 at New Orleans Saints -10

Are the Saints a safe parlay bet to win in NFL Week 1? Tampa’s offense should be better with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback versus the Saints’ talented secondary than if Jameis Winston started this game. The Bucs’ defense will be without Round 1 pick defensive lineman Vita Vea, though. He’s still recovering from an injury. New Orleans has a dynamite rushing attack that relies on movement in the backfield and Drew Brees’ threat to always throw the ball long. Saints should dominate the NFC South rival Bucs and win this game by 14 to 20 points. NFL Week 1 Parlay Pick: New Orleans Saints

Houston Texans +6 ½ at New England Patriots -6 ½

New England’s defense could have trouble stopping Houston’s offense. Then again, the Patriots’ always manage. This season, they’ll lean even more on Tom Brady. Terrific Tom was in mid-season form during the preseason. The Patriots should win. They won’t cover the spread. NFL Week 1 Parlay Pick: Houston Texans

Chicago Bears +8 at Green Bay Packers -8

Green Bay appears set to challenge Minnesota for the NFC North Division. Week 1 is no cakewalk game, though. The Bears are much improved on both offense and defense. Chicago traded for the best defensive player in the NFL, Khalil Mack, just a few days ago. Learning defensive systems isn’t nearly as difficult as learning offensive systems. Not only that, but Khalil’s an edge rusher. He’ll be out there on some plays. Even if Mack doesn’t play, the Bears’ defense is good enough to give Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers fits. Chicago is definitely part of my 6-Team Parlay. NFL Week 1 Parlay Pick: Chicago Bears
