NFL Week 13 ATS Betting Picks

Written by on November 26, 2018

Monday night will see Week 12 of the NFL season come to a close, with the Houston Texans looking to extend their win streak and take an even tighter grip on the AFC South with a victory over the Titans. Instead of focusing on that game, though, we are going to look ahead to the Week 13 Betting action. We are getting down to the wire in terms of the playoff races, so there are a lot of meaningful games set to be played this week. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on some ATS picks, but we will also have O/U and SU picks coming your way.

NFL Week 13 ATS Picks

New Orleans Saints (-7 ½) at Dallas Cowboys

You have to give full credit to the Dallas Cowboys for reviving their season with back to back wins, which has allowed them to sneak into first place in the NFC East. The run may be about to come to an abrupt halt, though, as their next opponent will be the New Orleans Saints, a team currently on a 10-game winning streak.   The Saints have won 8 of their last 10 meetings with the Cowboys and have covered the spread in 7 of those 10 games. Furthermore, New Orleans has covered the spread in each of their last 9 games, so I expect them to keep that streak going this weekend.

Latest NFL Week 13 Betting Trends

  • New Orleans is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games
  • New Orleans is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Dallas is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games
  • Dallas is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 games when playing New Orleans

LA Rams (-10) at Detroit Lions

The Rams are coming off one of the best games in NFL history, a 54-51 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. That game showed just how much offense they are bringing to the table, which is bad news for a Detroit Lions team that has done little to offer up some help for QB Matthew Stafford.

The Lions simply couldn’t generate enough meaningful plays in a Thanksgiving Day loss to the Bears and their season now looks dead at 4-7. The Rams have not been a great ATS picks this season, but I have a feeling that they are going to go off on the Lions on Sunday.

  • LA Rams is 1-5-2 ATS in its last 8 games
  • LA Rams is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • Detroit is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Detroit is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing LA Rams

Indianapolis Colts (-3 ½) at Jacksonville Jaguars

While we pay attention to the top seeds in each of the conferences, we often forget about teams making a move at the playoff line. One team that you cannot ignore right now, as they are now winners of 5 straight games after coming from behind to knock off the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.

The Colts are favorites for NFL Week 13 against the Jaguars.

The Colts are now above .500 and ready to face a Jaguars team that appears to have thrown in the towel this season after a loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Colts are just 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings with the Jags, but I think they improve on that record this weekend.

Latest NFL Week 13 Betting Trends

  • Indianapolis is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • Indianapolis is 0-4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Jacksonville
  • Jacksonville is 0-3-2 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Jacksonville is 1-3-1 ATS in its last 5 games at home

Kansas City Chiefs (-15 ½) at Oakland Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs just dropped 51 points, albeit in a losing cause, against one of the best teams in the league, which makes you wonder what they will do this weekend against one of the worst.

The Chiefs are an impressive 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games and are 5-0-1 ATS in games away from home this year. On the flip side, the Raiders have covered just once in their last 7 games and just don’t have the sort of offense required to keep pace with KC. I think the Chiefs cover this one quite easily.
