Expert NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks – 2018 Season.

NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

Written by on September 10, 2018

After leading the Green Bay Packers to a suspenseful comeback win on Sunday night, Aaron Rodgers will have a much stiffer test on his hands when he and his band of merry mates take on a Minnesota Vikings team that is one of the top Super Bowl favorites in either conference this season – and rightfully so. Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers will look to bounce back from their humbling NFL Week 1 home loss against Kansas City when they hit the road to take on a Buffalo Bills team looked utterly incompetent in their own season-opening loss to Baltimore.Last but not least, Jimmy Garoppolo will look to rebound from a three-interception outing against Minnesota in their season opener when his San Francisco 49ers host Matt Stafford and a Detroit Lions team at the beginning stages of a new ear under first-time head coach Matt Patricia. If you’re looking to string some Week 2 wagers together in the hopes of cashing in on a bankroll-boosting parlay, then let’s get to my trio of NFL Week 2 picks right now.

NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

LA Chargers at Buffalo Bills

  • When: Sunday, September 16 at 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: NewEra Field, Buffalo, NY
  • NFL Week 2 Odds: Los Angeles Chargers -7.5
I know the Los Angeles Chargers looked nothing like the Super Bowl contenders they’re supposed to be in their humbling 38-28 Week 1 home loss to Kansas City, but the Bolts should have a much easier time beating a Buffalo Bills team that never showed up in their stunning 47-3 season-opening loss at Baltimore. Nathan Peterman tossed two interceptions against the Ravens and the Bills were forced to use the first-round draft pick Josh Allen after it was shown in the preseason that he clearly isn’t ready for the NFL game just yet.Peterman, who won the starting quarterback job after battling with A.J. McCarron all offseason, has now thrown a whopping seven interceptions in his two career NFL starts, including his five-interception outing against the Bolts in their 54-24 Week 11 loss last season. The Chargers couldn’t stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Week 1, but Philip Rivers did still toss three TD passes in the loss and I’m completely expecting the Chargers to have their way against a Bills team that now has some serious question marks at quarterback. The Chargers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games while Buffalo has gone 1-5 SU in their last six meetings against the Bolts.Score Prediction: Los Angeles Chargers 35 – Buffalo Bills 14

Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers

  • When: Sunday, September 16 at 4:05 PM ET
  • Where: Levi’s Stadium, San Francisco, CA
  • NFL Week 2 Odds: San Francisco 49ers -3
While the Detroit Lions had yet to play their regular season opener on Monday night when I wrote this, I’ going to urge you to back Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers in this Week 2 matchup for several reasons. First, I’m expecting Frisco to be highly motivated after losing their regular season opener on the road at Minnesota. I’m also expecting the Niners to clean up some of the things they need to work on and really, for them to have more success offensively than they did against a Vikings defense that just doesn’t make many mistakes. The Lions didn’t look overly impressive during the preseason and I don’t particularly like their hiring of former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as their head coach. If the 49ers can put 16 points on the board against Minnesota in their opener, I’m thinking they’ll be good for at least 28 points in this contest. The Niners win and cover the chalk at home people!Score Prediction: San Francisco 49ers 28 – Detroit Lions 21

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers

  • When: Sunday, September 16 at 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
  • NFL Week 2 Odds: Green Bay Packers -2.5
It’s all fine and well that the Green Bay Packers pulled out a memorable 24-23 comeback win over Chicago on Sunday night after Aaron Rodgers returned from a scary first-half knee injury. However, the fact of the matter is that Chicago exposed a lot of Green Bay’s weaknesses early on before Rodgers and company got hot late to complete their comeback. The Packers are slight favorites for NFL Week 2 against the Vikings.Chicago’s Mitch Trubisky, Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen basically all had their way against Green Bay early on and I can see Minnesota exploiting those same areas of concern the Packers have. More importantly, Rodgers and company will be facing the league’s best defense in Week 2. Minnesota picked off San Francisco signal-caller Jimmy Garoppolo three times in their opener and I expect the Vikings offense to continue to get better each week as veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins continues to get acclimated with his new team. For me, this Week 2 pick is pretty simple. No matter where these two division rivals play these days, the Vikings are the better team on both sides of the ball. Minnesota has won four of the last five meetings between these two while posting an identical 4-1 ATS mark along the way. The Vikes have also gone 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games and 6-2 ATS in their last seven road games. I like Minnesota to get it done on the road as a 2.5-point road dog!Score Prediction: Minnesota Vikings 28 – Packers Green Bay 17
