NFL Week 6 Over/Under Betting Picks

NFL Week 6 Over/Under Betting Picks

Written by on October 8, 2018

Other than the Monday night game, Week 5 of the NFL season is in the books. One look at the overall standings and you quickly realize that this season has been a little tougher to predict than most. The Rams being unbeaten is not really a surprise, but the Eagles being below .500 and the Falcons having just 1 win on the season is certainly not what anyone expected. The good thing for these teams and others who are struggling is that there is still time to put things right, starting with the games in Week 6. It’s prediction time and we are going to focus on Over/Under lines first, but we will also have ATS and SU selections, as well as a few parlay tickets for this weekend.

NFL Week 6 Over/Under Betting Picks

Tampa Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons (OVER 57 ½)

The NFC South was the best division in football last season, but it is not living up to that label this year. The Saints and the Panthers are starting to pull away, which means that the Bucs and Falcons really need a win in Week 6. The Falcons, in particular, are in real trouble, winning just 1 of their first 5 games.

After a strong start to the year, Tampa Bay has fallen to 2-2 and are coming into this one off a bye week. The point total is set at 57 ½ and looks to be in jeopardy. 5 of the last 6 games that Bucs have played on the road have gone OVER, as have 16 of the last 22 home games for the Falcons.

  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Atlanta’s last 5 games when playing at home against Tampa Bay

Indianapolis Colts vs New York Jets (OVER 47 ½)

After starting the season by being involved in low-scoring games, the Colts have now seen the OVER hit in back to back weeks. That is exactly the same as the Jets, who are now 3-2 O/U on the season, with their last two games also being of the high-scoring variety.

In both cases, it would appear that it has to do with the QB’s of these teams getting comfortable. Andrew Luck is throwing the ball all over the field after coming back from a brutal injury, while rookie Sam Darnold is starting to adjust to life in the NFL. In the last 5 meetings between these two in NYC, the total has gone OVER.

Baltimore Ravens vs Tennessee Titans (UNDER 42)

The Titans with Marcus Mariota under center have never really been what you would call an offensive juggernaut. Part of the reason for bringing in Mike Vrabel as the head coach in Tennessee was to change that, but it has not been a huge success just yet, with the Titans averaging just 17 PPG.
Ravens vs Titans is going to be a close one.
The good news is that they have been very good on defense, giving up 17 PPG. They will face a Baltimore team that is always defensively sound, but who have seen their offense stumble a little after a good start, scoring just 9 points on the Browns last weekend. 8 of the last 11 meetings between these two have gone UNDER.

Kansas City Chiefs vs New England Patriots (OVER 58 ½)

I don’t care which team you root for in the NFL, there has been no team more fun to watch than the Kansas City Chiefs. QB Patrick Mahomes has been a total revelation and is already being talked about as the league MVP. I for one cannot wait to see him head into New England and go head to head with Tom Brady.

After a sluggish start, the Patriots offense is suddenly starting to click, which is no surprise given that they now have all their important pieces healthy and free from suspension. I think we are in for a shootout that takes the point total OVER.
