Outside of one or two divisions, the races in the AFC and NFC are very tight after the first 6 weeks of the season, perhaps because we only have one team still left unbeaten at this point. With the division races so close, every single game takes on a higher level of importance, as a tough loss at this stage of the season could eventually have an impact on the final playoff picture. Picking winners have been tough this season, but we are taking another crack at it this week, starting with checking the latest NFL odds and some SU picks for NFL Week 7. We will also have ATS and O/U picks available for you guys, so watch out for those, too.

NFL Week 7 SU Betting Picks

Miami Dolphins over Detroit Lions

With Ryan Tannehill out through injury in Week 6, the Dolphins were given very little hope of beating the Chicago Bears, yet that is exactly what they did. It was a win that Miami needed after losing back to back games, and it’s one that could carry them into this week on a real high.

Next up will be a visit from the Lions, who are coming into this one off a bye week. It’s probably a week off that the Lions would rather have skipped given that they had a big win over the Packers just prior to that. This could be a close one, but the fact that Detroit is just 2-5 SU in their last 7 visits to

New England Patriots over Chicago Bears

I will be the first to admit that I was among the group of fans who believed that the Patriots were on the decline after starting the season at 1-2. I now have to take that back, as they once again look like a championship team after winning 3 straight games and scoring big in the process.

They will have a tough one this week against a Bears team that has looked good this season, but who are sure to still be smarting after dropping a game that they looked to have locked up to the Dolphins in Week 6. This is one of the better match-ups of the week and I am on the Patriots here.

Indianapolis Colts over Buffalo Bills

This is certainly not one of the more glamorous match-ups on the Week 7 schedule, but it’s one where I still think we can make some money. The Bills decided to go with rookie QB Josh Allen after getting off to a slow start this season, but they may be forced to roll with Derek Anderson this weekend after Allen was forced out with an injury over the weekend.

Andrew Luck and the Colts are favorites for NFL Week 7.

That shifts things considerably in the favor of Andrew Luck and the Colts, at least in my opinion. The Colts have won each of their last 5 home games against the Bills, going 4-1 ATS in those match-ups. I am on the Colts here.

New Orleans Saints over Baltimore Ravens

The Saints have an opportunity to take total control of the NFC South with a win here, especially with the Panthers and Buccaneers both losing while they were on a bye week. The problem here, though, is that they are heading into a location where they have had very little success over the years.

The Ravens are coming off a comfortable win over the Tennessee Titans on the road and will now be heading back home where they are 4-1 SU and ATS against the Saints in their last 5 visits. Despite all of that, I still have a sneaking suspicion that the Saints get the win in this one.
