If it seems that quarterbacks are scoring more rushing touchdowns than ever before, well, that’s true. Quarterbacks have rushed for 31 touchdowns during the 2019 season, surpassing 2002 (28) for the most rushing touchdowns by quarterbacks through the first six weeks of a season since 1970.
In Week 6, quarterbacks totaled 10 rushing touchdowns, surpassing Week 13 of the 2015 season (9) for the most in a single week since 1970. Here’s a quick look at each Week 7 game with NFL odds and an ATS pick.
2019 NFL Week 7 Odds, Overview & Predictions for Each Game
Kansas City at Denver
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Chiefs -3.5
Thursday night game. The Chiefs have lost back-to-back games, both at home, while Denver is on a two-game winning streak largely thanks to its defense. Young Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 3-0 in his career against the Broncos and made his first career start against them in 2017.
Arizona at NY Giants
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Giants -3
This could be the only time this season that two rookie quarterbacks will face off. Arizona took Kyler Murray at No. 1 overall in this year’s draft and the New York Giants took Daniel Jones at No. 6. Those two and Jacksonville’s Gardner Minshew are the only rookie QBs currently starting.
Houston at Indianapolis
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Colts -1
Colts come off their bye week, while Houston was an upset winner in Kansas City on Sunday. Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson passed for 280 yards and had three total touchdowns (two rushing, one passing) in the win. Watson has 7,508 passing yards in 29 career games and tied Marc Bulger (29 games), Dan Marino (29) and Matthew Stafford (29) as quarterbacks to reach 7,500 career passing yards in the second-fewest games in NFL history.
Miami at Buffalo
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Bills -16.5
The Dolphins remained winless with Sunday’s one-point home loss to Washington. Coach Brian Flores benched starting quarterback Josh Rosen in the loss but said Monday that he “anticipates Josh being the guy,” for the Dolphins’ Week 7 matchup against the Bills. Buffalo is off a bye week.
Minnesota at Detroit
- NFL Week 7 Odds: PK
Short week for the Lions as they lost in Green Bay on Monday. The Vikings were 38-20 home winners over Philadelphia on Sunday. Kirk Cousins completed 22-of-29 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Cousins’ first score was a six-yard hookup with Adam Thielen, and then Stefon Diggs took over. Diggs caught Cousins’ final three touchdowns.
Oakland at Green Bay
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Packers -7
Short week for the Packers as they rallied to beat Detroit on Monday. The Raiders are off their bye week. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict’s appeal for his season-ending suspension was upheld. Now officially out for the entire season, the question becomes whether or not Burfict plays in the NFL again.
Jacksonville at Cincinnati
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Jaguars -3
The Bengals are winless. Coach Zac Taylor was noncommittal on A.J. Green’s (ankle) potential to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars. Taylor also wouldn’t comment on whether or not Green will practice this week. The Jags are off a home loss to the Saints.
LA Rams at Atlanta
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Rams -3
Could Atlanta’s Dan Quinn be the next NFL coach fired? He might well be if the Falcons lose again this week. Will the Rams have Todd Gurley? The star running back missed Sunday’s loss to the 49ers. The Rams are placing top cornerback Aqib Talib (ribs) on the injured reserve list.
San Francisco at Washington
- NFL Week 7 Odds: 49ers -10
The Niners are the NFC’s lone remaining unbeaten. Washington got its first win of the season Sunday in Miami. Case Keenum completed 13-of-25 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Keenum was reinserted as the starter this week with Jay Gruden fired.
LA Chargers at Tennessee
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Titans -1
The Chargers have been one of the NFL’s most disappointing teams. Philip Rivers completed 26-of-44 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Chargers’ 24-17, Week 6 loss to the Steelers. The Titans, meanwhile, appear ready to make a quarterback change from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill.Pick: Titans
Baltimore at Seattle
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Seahawks -4
Matchup of division leaders and two mobile quarterbacks in the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Seahawks’ Russell Wilson. Wilson has surpassed Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes as the betting favorite to win the NFL MVP Award.
New Orleans at Chicago
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Bears -3
Chicago is off its bye week and expected to get back starting QB Mitchell Trubisky from injury. The Saints are unbeaten under backup Teddy Bridgewater and he’ll start again this week with Drew Brees still out.
Philadelphia at Dallas
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Cowboys -3
Sunday night game. These teams are tied atop the NFC East at 3-3. The heat could really be turned up on Cowboys coach Jason Garrett if Dallas loses its third straight game. Not clear if the Eagles will get back receiver DeSean Jackson from injury this week.
New England at NY Jets
- NFL Week 7 Odds: Jets -10
Monday night game. The Patriots have yet to be challenged this season and probably won’t be here. The Jets are off their first win of the season, upsetting the Cowboys. But they have just one victory in the past 10 meetings in this series.
