2019 NFL Week 4 Over/Under Betting Picks

Written by on September 23, 2019

The Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins will do battle on Monday night to bring Week 3 of the NFL season to a close. While I know a lot of you wait until the final whistle on the Monday night game before thinking about the following week, there are many more who are already actively plotting their next wager.

That’s what we are doing here, as we will have picks for SU and ATS wagers for Week 4, as well as for the O/U NFL Betting picks we are going to discuss here. It is still very early in the week, so be aware tat any totals or spreads may well change before we get to next weekend.

2019 NFL Week 4 Over/Under Betting Picks

2019 NFL Week 4 SU Betting Picks

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers (UNDER 46 ½)

The last couple of seasons have been a bit of a disaster for the Green Bay Packers, prompting the front office to make a change at the head coach position. Early results suggest that the Packers are heading in the right direction, but while they are 4-0 on the season, they have had their struggles on the offensive side of the football.

The Eagles have had similar issues, but they are in a tougher spot, having now lost back to back games to fall to 1-2. In 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two in Green Bay, it has been the UNDER that has hit.

NFL Week 4 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Philadelphia’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Green Bay’s last 7 games against an opponent in the NFC conference

Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions in NFL Week 4(OVER 54)

When the Kansas City Chiefs offense takes the field, you always think that they are going to get into scoring position. They are a legitimate threat to score with every possession and have average 34 PPG this season. The Lions come into Week 4 with A 2-0-1 record, with 2 of those 3 games going OVER.

While not as potent as the Chiefs offense, the Lions do have a QB in Matthew Stafford who can light it up. The Chiefs have seen the OVER hit in 8 of their last 11 games, while each of the last 7 meetings between these two has gone the same way.

NFL Week 4 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Kansas City’s last 7 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Detroit’s last 6 games at home

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at LA Rams in NFL Week 4 (UNDER 50 ½)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has improved its output with each passing week this season, but after falling apart against the New York Giants in Week 3, they come into this weekend with a 1-2 record. They will be up against a Rams team that has won and covered in each of their first 3 games this season.

The Rams are favorites against the Bucs in NFL Week 4.

They have also seen their defense rise up in each of the last 2 weeks, allowing just 11 PPG in back to back wins. 5 of the last 7 meetings between these two have gone UNDER, and I expect the same for this one.

NFL Week 4 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Tampa Bay’s last 8 games against an opponent in the NFC conference
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of LA Rams’ last 7 games against Tampa Bay

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (OVER 38)

At first glance, this NFC North game would appear to be destined to be of the low-scoring variety, but I am not so sure that will be the case. The Bears have definitely not looked very good in the opening 2 weeks on the offensive side of the football, but we will get a better idea of how they look when they play on Monday night.

There have been no such issues for the Vikings this season, though, as this is a team firing on all cylinders. This may not be a super high scoring game, but that 38 points seems a little low to me.

NFL Week 4 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Chicago’s last 5 games played in September
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Minnesota’s last 8 games
