Online NFL Analysis Identifies Trio Of Top Week 1 SU Picks
Miami Dolphins (6-10) at Seattle Seahawks (11-7)When: Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 4:05 PM
Where: CenturyLink Field
NFL Odds: Seattle Seahawks -10.5 / Over/Under: 44
I’m not real fond of the high point spread surrounding this affair, but no worries…the spread won’t matter in this regular season opener as Seattle Seahawks will get the easy SU win at home. Until I see otherwise, I don’t have any faith whatsoever in Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill and I can see Seattle’s defense pressuring him into at least two costly turnovers en route to the SU win and narrow ATS cover.
The Dolphins are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games overall while 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games in the month of September, 6-3 ATS in their last nine games overall and Seattle has gone 17-5 SU in their last 22 home games and is simply better than Miami in all three phases of the game.
My Pick: Seattle 31 Miami 20
Minnesota at TennesseeWhen: September 11, 2016, 01:00 PM EY
Where: Nissan Stadium
NFL Odds: Minnesota -3 / Total: 42.5
I really like the way Tennessee looked during the preseason, but there’s no way I can bring myself to back the Titans to beat the Minnesota Vikings, even with starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater out for the season for Minnesota.
Minnesota is 9-4 SU in its last 13 games while Tennessee has gone 3-22 SU in its last 25 games. The Minnesota Vikings will win outright at home – while narrowly covering the NFL betting line in the process.
My Pick: Minnesota 21 Tennessee 17
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-10) at Atlanta Falcons (8-8)When: Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Georgia Dome
NFL Odds: Atlanta Falcons -3 / Over/Under: 48
Despite giving up just 23 points in both regular season meetings in 2015, the Atlanta Falcons lost both games against Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season – which is why I love the Falcons to get the big win at home in this matchup.
The favorite in this NFC South rivalry has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings, making the Falcons the easy pick to win – and narrowly cash in!
My Pick: Atlanta 28 Tampa Bay 24
