Can’t you just taste it now? The NFL’s exhibition season begins Thursday and the first regular season game of the new season is just 37 days from this posting. Today, we will take a look at some of the biggest NFC rivalry games for the coming season, with the latest NFL betting odds and picks from MyBookie.

Biggest NFC Rivalry Games in the 2017 NFL Betting Calendar

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers

When: Sunday, Sept. 10, 4:25 PM ET
Where: Lambeau Field
TV: Fox
Radio: 710 ESPN (Seattle) / WIXX-FM 101.1 (Green Bay)
Stream Option: NFL Live
Opening NFL Betting Lines: Packers -3

This might be the most important game in Week 1 of them all because both Seattle and Green Bay are defending division champions and the winner here will have a potential home-field advantage should the end up with the same record and meet in the playoffs.

That’s exactly what happened in 2014 and Seattle got to host Green Bay that season in the NFC title game and beat the Packers in OT. Green Bay is 10-3 against the Seahawks at home during the regular and postseason, including seven straight wins. It is the first time the Packers have hosted Seattle in Week 1.

Including the postseason, it will be the sixth time the two teams have played since 2012. It will be the third consecutive season the two teams have played at Lambeau Field during the regular season. As a matter of fact, the Packers have also won three of the last four home games against Seattle by 20-plus points (22, 38, 28). Green Bay won easy last year due to five INTs of Russell Wilson.

Packers keep winning streak going at home.

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

When: Sunday, Oct. 8, 4:25 PM ET
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington
TV: Fox
Radio: WIXX-FM 101.1 (Green Bay) / 105.3 The Fan (Dallas)
Stream Option: NFL Live
Opening NFL Betting Lines: Cowboys -3

This one has all the same variables as Seahawks-Packers in Week 1. If Green Bay beats Seattle and can win this game, it could be in great shape to hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. Including the playoffs, it will be the fifth straight season the Packers and Cowboys have met. Green Bay has won six of the last seven games it has played against the Cowboys in the regular and postseason, including two at Dallas.

The teams split two matchups last season, with Dallas winning at Green Bay during the regular season and the Packers winning at Dallas in the Divisional playoffs. That latter game was the best game of the 2016 playoffs, a 34-31 Green Bay win. Mason Crosby hit a 51-yard field goal as time expired after an amazing throw from Aaron Rodgers to Jared Cook to gain 36 yards on third down.

Cowboys get a little revenge – as long as Ezekiel Elliott isn’t suspended.

Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

When: Sunday, Dec. 31, 1 PM ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
TV: Fox
Radio: WBT 1110 AM (Carolina) / 92.9 The Game FM (Atlanta)
Stream Option: NFL Live
Opening NFL Betting Lines: TBA

As of this time, there are no early lines available for Week 17 because there are too many potential intangibles on the final Sunday of the season. These are the past two NFC South champions and conference champions. And of course the past two NFL MVPs in Atlanta’s Matt Ryan and Carolina’s Cam Newton. It’s quite likely this game in Week 17 could be for the division title. It’s also Carolina’s first game in the Falcons’ new stadium.

Last year at the Georgia Dome, Atlanta trashed the Panthers 48-33. Ryan shredded Carolina’s defense, passing for a team-record 503 yards and four touchdowns, while Julio Jones had 12 receptions for a Falcons-record 300 yards. The totals by Ryan and Jones were the most ever allowed by Carolina and the first time teammates had 500 yards passing and 300 yards receiving. Newton left after a big hit in the fourth quarter and missed the next game.

Expert NFL Betting Prediction

Atlanta will win but not by 15 again.

Are the Dallas Cowboys a safe bet in their rivalry games this 2017 regular season?

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

When: Sunday, Dec. 31, 1 PM ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field
TV: Fox
Radio: 105.3 The Fan (Dallas) / SportsRadio 94WIP (Philadelphia)
Stream Option: NFL Live
Opening NFL Lines: TBA

At the present time, there are no early lines available for Week 17 because there are too many potential intangibles on the final Sunday of the season. I could probably say Cowboys-Giants as that’s a great NFC East rivalry, but I believe this is top future rivalry in that division between second-year quarterbacks Dak Prescott of Dallas and Carson Wentz of Philadelphia. And, boy, do Eagles fans hate the Cowboys.

Last year in Big D, the Cowboys also closed the season in Philadelphia and lost handily 27-13. But that game meant nothing as Dallas already had clinched the top seed in the NFC playoffs. Ezekiel Elliott didn’t play at all and Prescott only did briefly. It would also be the last time Tony Romo would take the field as a Cowboy. Wentz threw two TD passes to Zach Ertz to lead the Eagles.

Expert NFL Betting Prediction

I think the Cowboys get one on the road if the game means anything to them.
