How to Bet Broncos vs Chargers NFL Week 11 Spread & Pick

Written by on November 14, 2018

Prior to the start of each NFL season, we all have an idea of how each team will play and perform based on what they have done in seasons past. We know which teams will be all about playing offense, while we also have an idea as to which teams will lean a little more heavily on their defensive and special teams units. In the case of the LA Chargers, we have come to expect a team that will come out and struggles early, only to get back to form a little too late to save their season.

That has not been the case with this version of the Chargers, though, as they are quietly moving up the rankings in the AFC, to the point where a first-round bye in the playoffs could well be in their future. The Chargers are on a hot streak at the moment and will look to extend that run when they host the Denver Broncos this coming weekend. The Chargers are in as a 7 ½ point favorite, with the O/U set at 46 ½.

Why bet on the Denver Broncos?

The Broncos 2-0 start to the season seems like an eternity ago now, as they have won just 1 game since then, losing the other 6 to fall to 3-6 on the season. While that is certainly not a great record, the Broncos have not been blown out too regularly, losing 3 of those 6 games by 4 points or less. They are not that far off the offensive pace being set by the Chargers, scoring 22 PPG versus the 26 PPG put up by LA, but it has been their inability to win those tight games that have done them in.

They do have a solid record versus the Chargers, winning 7 of the last 10 meetings. They have also gone 5-2 SU and ATS in their last 7 road games versus LA, but overall, the Broncos are just 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games on the road. It has been the UNDER that has hit the last 5 times that the Broncos have been on the road to face the Chargers.

Why bet on the LA Chargers?

It is perhaps because the Chargers are not putting up big, flashy numbers that have caused them to fly under the radar this season, but with a 6-game winning streak under their belts, the rest of the NFL needs to start paying attention. Their current run started with a tight 29-27 win over the 49ers, but since then, the Chargers have been rock solid, especially on defense, where they have given about a little over 13 PPG in the last 5 games.

Broncos vs Chargers could be the eight victory of the season for LA.   They have also been an excellent ATS bet during this stretch, covering the spread in 4 of their last 5 games. While Carson may not be their permanent home, the Chargers are making the most of their time there, winning 8 of their last 9 games at the StubHub Center.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction for Broncos vs Chargers

The Chargers are on a roll right now, and I just don’t see that coming to an end this weekend. I think they win this one rather comfortably, covering the spread in the process.
