Cleveland Browns 2016 NFL Free Picks

Written by on July 14, 2016

With the Cleveland Browns hiring widely-respected offensive coordinator Hue Jackson and now heading in a new direction as the 2016 NFL regular season quickly approaches, this online NFL betting guide on Cleveland’s must-bet games will help you cash in early and often on the new-look Browns this coming season. With that thought in mind, let’s get started.

Analyzing The Cleveland Browns 2016 NFL Free Picks

Week 3

Cleveland at Miami Dolphins (-7)

Analysis: Like their visiting opponents in this Week 3 affair, the Miami Dolphins also have a new head coach heading into 2016 with former Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase taking over the task of repairing mediocre signal-caller Ryan Tannehill (he won’t). Unfortunately, Miami is just 4-6 SU in their last 10 home games and an awful 2-8 ATS during the span. I’m going to get right to the points by saying that I like Hue Jackson to out-coach Gase while new Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III des the same against Tannehill. Keep it simple and back the Cleveland Browns to cover the spread and improve on their solid 5-5 ATS mark over their last 10 road games. The Pick: Miami 28 Cleveland 27

Week 4

Cleveland at Washington Redskins (-7.5)

Analysis: I know Washington won the NFC East last season t reach the playoffs for the first time in ages, but I’m not a big fan of either head coach Jay Gruden or quarterback Kirk Cousins. Having said that…let me also say that I’m also expecting the Browns to come out with an extra special effort against Washington as they try to extract some revenge on behalf of former Skins ‘franchise’ signal-caller RG3. Simply put, I like Cleveland t cover in a narrow loss against a Washington team that may not be all that much better than the Browns in 2016. The Pick: Washington 31 Cleveland 28

Week 6

Cleveland at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)

Analysis: The Tennessee Titans are looking to NFL veteran Mike Mularkey to lead them in a new direction but I’m not real fond of the Titans’ choice and can see Tennessee heading in a new direction about this time next year. Anyway, the Titans are 1-9 SU and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 home games and I think a similar run is in store for the fledgling franchise in 2016. I’m going with Hue Jackson to out-coach Mularkey while leading his Browns to the outright road win and accompanying ATS cover. The Pick: Cleveland 31 Tennessee 28

Week 10

Cleveland at Baltimore Ravens (-8.5)

Analysis: I know Cleveland is an awful 2-8 SU in their last 10 games against the Baltimore Ravens, but the Browns are also 5-5 ATS over the span against their now, longtime AFC North division rivals. The Browns and Ravens split last season’s two matchups SU and ATS with both teams winning on the road. More importantly, Cleveland has gone 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against Baltimore with only two of those games being decided by more than seven points. The Browns cover the NFL betting line in a divisional matchup that is generally a closer-than-expected affair. The Pick: Baltimore 30 Cleveland 24

Week 14

Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5) at Cleveland

Analysis: I know the Browns got smacked senseless in both of their two regular season meetings against Cincinnati Bengals last season, but they also beat the Bengals twice in 2014 while covering the spread both times. Despite being a perennial playoff participant the last half-decade, the Bengals are just 3-3 SU over the last six meetings against Cleveland and 4-3 ATS over the last seven meetings. I like the Browns to cover the NFL betting line in another AFC North clash that turns out to be a closer-than-expected stunner. The Pick: Cleveland 24 Cincinnati 21
