Updated NFL Conference Odds: Ravens’ and Seahawks’ Odds Rise
2021 NFL Conference Championships

- Where: TBD
NFC Conference Odds – Top 5 Choices
- New Orleans Saints +270
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers +330
- Seattle Seahawks +330
- Green Bay Packers +350
- LA Rams +800
- Arizona Cardinals +800
The Patriots upset the Ravens while Seattle loses its second in a row
The Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks both had bad weeks. The Ravens lost straight up as 6 ½ point favorites versus the New England Patriots. Seattle dropped the third game in their last four to the Los Angeles Rams.
Of the two conference contenders, the Ravens’ odds took the bigger hit. Baltimore is now at +450 to win the conference while Seattle remains at +330. The reason for continuing bullishness on the Seahawks?
Compared to his own standards, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson is in a slump. Wilson is good enough to get out of the slump and dominate defenses. If Seattle’s defense can get it together, the Seahawks will turn things around.
That same can’t be said for the Baltimore Ravens. It’s apparent that if opponents shut down Baltimore’s rushing attack, Lamar Jackson struggles. When Lamar struggles, the entire team falls apart. Jackson hasn’t developed into the passer that Wilson is, which is why conference championship handicappers remain in Seattle’s corner while they’ve bailed from the Ravens.
That may not last, though. Seattle plays the Cardinals on Thursday night. If they don’t succeed in beating Arizona, the Seahawks’ odds will continue to float like a Macy Parade balloon cut from it’s anchor.
Baltimore battles the Titans. A win won’t do much to silence the naysayers. Beating the Steelers on the road in Week 12 will.
AFC Conference Odds – Top 5 Choices
- Kansas City Chiefs +165
- Pittsburgh Steelers +250
- Baltimore Ravens +450
- Buffalo Bills +900
- Indianapolis Colts +1100
Chiefs could lose favorite’s status to win AFC after Sunday’s game versus the Raiders
Although the Kansas City Chiefs remain a favorite they’re an underlay favorite, which means some conference future bettors will look to back the Steelers or an underdog to win the AFC. Those handicappers could be out in force on Monday morning should the Chiefs drop their Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Raiders versus Chiefs is one of the historical NFL rivalries. John Madden against Han Stram. Len Dawson versus Kenny Stabler. The history goes all the way back to the sixties.
The Raiders beat the Chiefs 40-32 in the first matchup. Since then, Las Vegas has won 3-of-4. The Raiders’ defense has really stepped it up, which is why Sunday’s game is so important. If Sin City can notch a win, they might show up on the Top 5 list to win the conference.
Kansas City will remain the favorite, but their odds could drift. So, if you believe in Las Vegas, bet on the Raiders as soon as you can. A win sends their odds lower. If you believe KC gets revenge, jump on the Chiefs at +165. Who knows? An impressive win could send their odds to +150.
Also pay attention to New Orleans versus Atlanta on Sunday. The Saints must start Jameis Winston at quarterback. If Winston plays well and the Saints take down the Falcons, expect their odds to dip because Drew Brees shouldn’t miss more than two to four weeks.
Have a great rest of your week!
