With the amount of money made and spent in professional sports, it’s no real surprise that loyalty is something that has long since gone out the window. It’s not that common to see a player spend their entire career with a single team, especially when the owners of the team decide that the player is no longer of any real value to them. It’s always a little sad to see that change coming, and it is exactly what is happening with Eli Manning and the NFL Odds underdog for Week 13 New York Giants.
We already know that Manning, a two-time Super Bowl winner, will be benched this coming weekend, and t big question now is whether we have seen him play his last game for the New York Giants. There are a few teams that could well swoop in and pick him up, but that is something that will play out during the offseason.
For now, it will be up to Geno Smith to try and lead the Giants to victory when they go on the road to play the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Oakland is an 8 ½ point favorite, with the point total for this one set at 41 ½.

Why consider the Giants NFL Odds?
There are a lot of players, current and former, who have publicly expressed their disgust at the decision to bench Manning, and in fairness to Eli, there is no way that all the blame for this season can be placed on his shoulders. There is a lot of blame to be passed around on this team, and coach Ben McAdoo needs to stand up and take the brunt of it.
While you certainly feel sorry for Manning, you also need to feel some sympathy for Geno Smith, the QB who will replace him this weekend. He is taking the reins of an offense that has sputtered all season long, and you have to wonder if there is really anything he can do to effect real change. The Giants are averaging about 16 PPG this season, and are just 1-5 SU on the road. They are 3-3 ATS in those 6 games that they have played away from home.

Why consider the Raiders NFL Odds?
At 5-6, the Raiders still have a pulse, but it’s mostly because the AFC West has been pretty awful this season. The Kansas City Chiefs came out of the gate like world beaters at the start of the season, but they can’t buy a win right now and lead the division with a 6-5 record.
Oakland helped their cause with a 21-14 win over the Broncos last weekend and now have 2 wins in their last 3 games. Despite the fact that the Raiders are still in the playoff hunt, there can be no denying that this is not the type of season that we expected from them in 2017. They had a great season last year, and it was only an injury to QB Derek Carr that prevented them from making a deep run. They won’t be making any sort of run this season if they lose this weekend. The Raiders have won 8 of their last 11 homes games and are 8-3 O/U during that stretch.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I just don’t see how all the off-field distractions in New York don’t spill over onto the playing field. The Giants are a mess right now, and while the Raiders are not having a great year, they should be good enough to win this one and cover comfortably. Let’s also take the OVER in this one.
