Miami Dolphins 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction

Written by on May 28, 2019

After another failed stretch of season under another failed regime, it’s out with the old and in with the new for the Miami Dolphins as they get set for the upcoming 2019 NFL regular season. Miami is hoping they’ve finally found their franchise quarterback after pulling off a post draft trade with the Cardinals for Rosen, the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft.  The clearly gifted Rosen is looking for a fresh start following what was an unremarkable debut campaign with an awful Arizona team a year ago. Can the Fins kick off their new era with some success or will Miami have more questions that answers in 2019?

If you’re an NFL fan and betting enthusiast that wants to cash in on the value-packed NFL Win Total Odds, and you’d like to know  just how many games the Miami Dolphins are going to win in 2019, then you’re in luck! Thanks to the expert NFL predictions that you’re about to get on each and every game on Miami’s upcoming 2019 docket, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many games the Dolphins will win this coming season.

The Dolphins went an uninspiring 7-9 in 2018 to record their second straight losing record and third in four years. In six years with former quarterback Ryan Tannehill under center, Miami went a lackluster 42-46 while reaching the playoffs just once in 2016. In three season under former head coach Adam Gase, Miami went 23-25 while making the playoffs in 2016 with a 10-6 record that represented the franchise’s first winning mark since 2008.

The Dolphins closed out the 2018 season ranked a pitiful 31st in total offense, 30th in passing and 26t in scoring (19.9 ppg) while also ranking 29th in total defense and 27th in points allowed (27.1 ppg).

To address their offseason needs, Miami parted ways with former GM Mike Tannenbaum and Gase and promoted Chris Grier to GM, who then hired former New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores as the team’s new head coach. The Dolphins also drafted former Clemson star Christian Wilkins with the 13th overall pick before adding Wisconsin tackle Michael Deiter and Wisconsin linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel in the third and fifth rounds respectively. Miami also added veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, wide receiver Davante Parker, cornerback Eric Rowe and tight end Dwayne Allen in free agency.

Miami Dolphins 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction

Week 1 vs. Baltimore

I love Miami’s addition of Josh Rosen, but Baltimore’s stout defense is going to make him eat dirt in what should be his debut with the Fins. Loss. 0-1.

DYK Alert

Did You Know That Tom Brady has compiled a surprising 7-10 regular season road mark against the Miami Dolphins in his career?

Week 2 vs. New England

The Dolphins have won five of their last six home games against the Patriots including last season’s Miami Miracle victory, but the revamped Fins won’t get the home win here simply because they’re going to be trying to find their new identity at this early juncture of the season. Loss. 0-2.

Week 3 at Dallas

While there aren’t many things I like better than watching the Cowboys lose, there’s no way the Boys fail to bag the win here against a Dolphins team that is inferior on both sides of the ball. Loss. 0-3.

Week 4 vs. LA Chargers

Even at home, Miami will be no match for Philip Rivers and a Chargers team with legitimate Super Bowl hopes. Loss. 0-4.

Week 5 BYE

Week 6 vs. Washington

The Dolphins finally pick up their first victory of the season against a Redskins team that no one knows right now who their starting quarterback will be in 2019. Win. 1-4.

Week 7 at Buffalo

The Fins and Bills split their two regular season meetings a year ago and I expect the same in 2019, loss. 1-5.

Week 8 at Pittsburgh

So what Le’Veon bell and Antonio brown are gone. Pittsburgh rolls to the easy win at home in Week 8. Loss. 1-6.

Week 9 vs. NY Jets

The Dolphins swept the Jets a year ago and they’ll get the home win here to make it three straight over the J-E-T-S, Jets, jets, Jets! Win. 2-6.

Week 10 at Indianapolis

Andrew Luck could play this game blindfolded and he’d be far better than any quarterback on Miami’s roster. Loss. 2-7.

Week 11 vs. Buffalo

Miami extracts some revenge in this one. Win. 3-7.

Week 12 at Cleveland

The new-look Browns are hoping to challenge for a playoff berth this season while Miami is just hoping to get back to being a respectable franchise. Loss. 3-8.

Week 13 vs. Philadelphia

The Eagles march into South Beach to lay an emphatic smackdown on the overmatched Fins. Loss. 3-9.

Week 14 at NY Jets

Sam Darnold outplays Ryan Fitzpatrick of Josh Rosen to lead New York to the solid home win in this Week 14 battle against their longtime AFC East division rivals. Loss. 3-10.

Week 15 at NY Giants

The Giants might have really blown it during the NFL Draft, but they’ve still got a Hall of Fame talent in superstar running back Saquon Barkley and I expect the former Penn State standout to be the best player on the field in this one. Loss. 3-11.

Week 16 vs. Cincinnati

Marvin Lewis might be gone, but I still don’t trust Andy Dalton and the underachieving Bengals. Win. 4-11.

Week 17 at New England

Unless the Patriots have nothing left to play for, they’ll win this game by steamrolling the Dolphins to pick up some momentum prior to the start of the playoffs.

While I guess it’s possible that Miami could reach the five-win mark in 2019, I just don’t see it happening. The Dolphins are in the beginning stages of a massive rebuild and they’ve got question marks at quarterback (again). Four wins sounds just about perfect from where I’m sitting.
