Must Bet NFL Preseason Week 4 Picks

Written by on August 31, 2016

With the final week of the 2016 preseason period at hand, NFL betting enthusiasts everywhere are looking for some must-bet games that are offering a ton of value. Thanks to the quartet of free picks that you’re bout to get, you’re going to have a great opportunity to cash in a whopping four times. Okay, with that thought in mind, let’s get started.

Here Are the Must Bet NFL Preseason Week 4 Picks

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

When: Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 at 8 PM ET Where: Raymond James Stadium NFL Odds: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3 Over/Under: 39.5 Analysis: With two excellent backup quarterbacks taking the field in Washington’s Colt McCoy and Tampa Bay’s Mike Glennon, I say the Over 39.5 Total points is the best pick on the board. Glennon is a guy that could easily start for a handful of other teams and McCoy is at least competent. Both veteran signal-callers should be able to light up the opposing second and third string backups they’ll be facing in this affair. My Pick: Over 39.5 Total Points

Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers

When: Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 7:30 PM Were: Bank of America Stadium NFL Odds: Carolina Panthers -4 Over/Under: 39.5 Analysis: I’m going to get right to the point by saying that I like Carolina to get the win as both of their backups, Joe Webb and Derek Anderson are infinitely better than Pittsburgh’s wildly inconsistent Landry Jones. The Steelers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September and 7-3- 2 ATS in their last 12 road games, but the Panthers are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Carolina covers to finish the preseason at 2-2. My Pick: Carolina 27 Pittsburgh 21

Seattle at Oakland

When: Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 PM Where: Oakland Coliseum NFL Odds: Oakland -2 Over/Under: 38 Analysis: To get right to the point, I like Seattle to get the win behind one of my favorite college players last season, dual-threat signal-caller Trevone Boykin, a player that has looked mostly stupendous in winning Seattle’s backup quarterback job after going undrafted. My Pick: Seattle 28 Oakland 20

Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals

When: Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 7:30 PM Where: Paul Brown Stadium NFL Odds: Cincinnati Bengals -4.5 Over/Under: 39.5 Analysis: The Colts have looked pretty awful this preseason and that has made me nervous about my futures odds pick that they’ll win the AFC South in 2016. With that thought in mind…I like the Cincinnati Bengals to pick up the easy win and ATS cover as talented backup A.J. McCarron outplays Indianapolis counterpart Stephen Morris. Just like when he replaced injured starter Andy Dalton late last season, McCarron looked mostly exceptional this preseason. My Pick: Cincinnati 31 Indianapolis 24

Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions

When: Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 7:30 PM ET Where: Ford Field NFL Odds: Detroit Lions -3 Over/Under: 38.5 Analysis: Don’t expect much defense to be played in this Week 4 preseason finale, making a pick for the Over 38.5 total points the best pick for this Inter-conference pairing. Both, E.J. Manuel and Dan Orlovsky are pretty decent quarterbacks that could likely start for a handful of teams leading me to believe both veteran backups will put up their fair share of points. Play the Over! My Pick: Over 38.5 Total Points
