NFL Week 9 Betting Odds & Top Picks to Parlay

Written by on October 31, 2017

This coming weekend sees us enter the second half of the 2017 NFL season, which means that the playoff races are about to move into high gear. Picking winners in this league on a regular basis is never easy, but I have always felt that it becomes a little more manageable once we get into the second half of the season. This is where we usually start to see some separation between the playoff contenders and the rest of the pack, which often leads to fewer surprise results popping up, just as the NFL Week 9 betting odds suggest. As we do every week, let’s take a look the most recent NFL lines and make some picks. As always, we will have a trio of parlay tickets that we hope will put a little bit of extra betting money in our pockets.

Week 9 NFL Betting Lines, Preview & Expert ATS Picks

NFL Week 9 SU Parlay

The LA Rams should be well rested after their bye week, and they have what looks like a very manageable game against the New York Giants in Week 9. The Rams are in the hunt for the NFC West and should not have any problem taking care of the 1-6 Giants. There is now some serious talk about Houston Texans QB DeShaun Watson being the Rookie of the Year in the NFL, and he will have the chance to pad his stats this weekend against the woeful Indianapolis Colts. This is a game that could get out of hand early on. One of the games of the week would appear to be the one that pits the Kansas City Chiefs against the Dallas Cowboys. This game is still off the board right now in light of the Ezekiel Elliott mess, but once it goes live, I will be adding the Chiefs to my SU parlay ticket, no matter what the NFL Week 9 Betting Odds says.

Latest NFL Betting Trends for Week 9

  • Rams are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games
  • Giants are 1-7 SU in their last 8 games
  • Indianapolis is 1-7 SU in its last 8 games
  • Houston is 10-3 SU in its last 13 games at home
  • Chiefs are 16-5 SU in their last 21 games
  • Cowboys are 17-6 SU in their last 23 games

NFL Week 9 ATS Parlay

It has become quite clear that the Indianapolis Colts are one of the worst teams in the league this year, yet the Bengals struggled to put them away last week. Cincinnati has an even tougher task this weekend versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I think they will fail to cover the 4 ½ point spread. The Denver Broncos were soundly beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, and now are talking about possibly bringing in Paxton Lynch to start at QB this weekend versus the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles. This move reeks of disaster, which is why I like Philly to cover as a 7 ½ point favorite. Even with Paxton Lynch under center, the NFL Week 9 Betting Odds are against the Broncos. While I hate to keep picking on the Colts, the fact of the matter is that they are a total disaster. They will be a 13-point underdog for the game against the huge NFL Week 9 Betting Odds favorite Houston Texans, and that seems like a bargain to me. I’m taking the Texans to cover in a big way.

Latest NFL Betting Trends for Week 9

  • Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Jaguars are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games
  • Denver is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games at home
  • Indianapolis is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Texans are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games

NFL Week 9 O/U Parlay

Let’s get things started with the Thursday night game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. The NFL Week 9 Betting Odds favorite Bills are proving that they are a serious contender in the AFC East, and I think they will easily handle the Jets in a low scoring affair. Their last 2 meetings have been lacking in offense, so let’s go UNDER 43 for this one. The Atlanta Falcons struggled again last weekend, narrowly beating the Jets, while the Panthers took care of the Bucs in a low scoring affair. This is a crucial NFC South game that both teams really need to win, so expect some fireworks and a point total that goes OVER 44. With the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins, we have a pair of teams that are in danger of seeing their season slip away, especially since they are in a division where the Patriots and Bills are just not losing. This should be a tense affair with little offense, so let’s go UNDER 44.

Latest NFL Betting Trends for Week 9
