A Closer Look At The Online NFL Trio Of Top Week 2 SU Picks
Baltimore Ravens (2-0) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)
When: Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: EverBank Field
NFL Odds: Jacksonville Jaguars +1 / Over/Under: 47.5
Analysis: I have no idea why the Baltimore Ravens are just 1-point road favorites in this contest seeing as how Jacksonville looks nothing like the playoff-hopeful team they thought they would be this season and Baltimore is finding ways to win games even when they’re not firing on all cylinders. Jacksonville may be playing at home in this contest, but they’re also just 10-22-1 ATS in their last 33 home games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against their AFC conference rivals.
Baltimore is 4-0 ATS in their last four games against AFC teams, 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and a pristine 5-0 ATS following an SU win. Forget about the fact that the underdog in this rivalry has gone 7-3-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings. Baltimore will win this game outright, making the Ravens a great SU pick in this Week 3 affair!
My Pick: Baltimore 28 Jacksonville 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)
When: Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 4:25 PM ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field
NFL Odds: Philadelphia Eagles +5.5 / Over/Under: 46.5
Analysis: The Philadelphia Eagles may be off to a fine 2-0 start under prized rookie signal-caller Carson Wentz, but for me, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the easy pick to get the straight-up (SU) road win in this intriguing Week 3 inter-conference pairing.
Not only are the Steelers a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five September games, but they’ve also gone 2-0-2 ATS in their last four road games and 13-4-2 ATS in their L/19 games against a team with a winning record. I say Ben Roethlisberger and company get the narrow SU win to move to 0-3 while making Wentz look like the rookie he is on several occasions.
My Pick: Pittsburgh 28 Philadelphia 21
Chicago Bears (0-2) at Dallas Cowboys (1-1)
When: Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: AT&T Stadium
NFL Odds: Dallas Cowboys -7.5 / Over/Under: 45
Analysis: The Dallas Cowboys are the easy pick to get the SU win at home in this contest whether Jay Cutler suits up or mediocre backup Brian Hoyer starts in his place. Dallas is riding a wave of positive momentum under supremely poised rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott while Chicago has a bunch of issues, starting with underachieving Jay Cutler at quarterback.
I know the Bears are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, but Chicago is also 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall, making Dallas a virtual lock to get the home SU win!
