2017 NFL Picks For The Atlanta Falcons Win/Loss Prediction
The Atlanta Falcons may have been on the wrong end of a historic Super Bowl collapse when we last saw them, but Matt Ryan and company are expected to contend again in 2017, mostly because they still have the vast majority of players that make up their downright explosive offense.
If you want to know whether Ryan and company can get back into Super Bowl contention this coming season, you’re about to find out right now thanks to my expert analysis on Atlanta’s regular season win total NFL betting lines.
Here’s A Closer Look At The 2017 NFL Picks For The Atlanta Falcons Win/Loss Prediction
Atlanta Falcons Win Total 9.5
Falcons (-6) at Bears
I’m thinking Atlanta Falcons could win this regular season opener 100-0…and no, I’m not exactly exaggerating.
Packers at Falcons (-2.5)
The Falcons dispatched the Packers 44-21 in the NFC title game and I like them to hold off Aaron Rodgers and company again, even if the final score in this Week 2 meeting is a lot closer than the last matchup.
Falcons (-1.5) at Lions
The outcome of this contest could come down to who has the ball last, but in the end, it doesn’t bode well for the Lions that Atlanta will be playing indoors on a fast carpet. The Falcons get the road win people.
Bills at Falcons (-7.5)
The Bills have some talent on the offensive side of the ball in Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy and the oft-injured Sammy Watkins, but not enough talent to keep up with the high-scoring Falcons.
Dolphins at Falcons (-6.5)
This week 6 Inter-conference matchup is good for the Dolphins – if only because Ryan Tannehill can learn something from Matt Ryan. Atlanta wins at home.
Falcons at Patriots (-6.5)
While the Falcons will be looking for revenge for their Super Bowl 51 loss to the Patriots, I don’t see them getting it against a Patriots team that now knows just how to stop Atlanta’s high-scoring ways.
Falcons (-7) at Jets
If this game isn’t over by halftime….wait, didn’t I write that already? Oh well, you get the idea!
Falcons (-1) at Panthers
The Falcons have the much better offense in this NFC South divisional rivalry, but Carolina is playing at home and has plenty of motivation after getting smacked around by the Falcons in both regular season meetings a year ago.
Cowboys at Falcons (-1)
The Cowboys have a very solid, but not overly explosive offense and a mediocre defense that will struggle to stop the high-scoring Falcons in this intriguing Week 10 matchup.
Week 11 (Monday)
Falcons at Seahawks (-3)
No team goes into Seattle and comes out with a victory right? Well, it’s not totally true, but close enough. Russell Wilson and company get the home win in Week 11 in a Monday night thriller.
Buccaneers at Falcons (-6.5)
The Falcons will have their hands full with Jameis Winston and the loaded Buccaneers, but they’ll manage to hold it down, if only because they’re playing at home.
Vikings at Falcons (-5.5)
Simply put, while the Vikings have an elite defense, their underwhelming offense will not be able to score enough points to keep up with the Falcons.
Week 14 (Thursday)
Saints at Falcons (-7)
Atlanta gets the home win as part of a regular season split against Drew Brees and the high-scoring Saints.
Week 15 (Monday)
Falcons (-1.5) at Buccaneers
Atlanta gets the road win and a measure of revenge against the blossoming Buccaneers in this NFC South divisional battle.
Falcons (PK) at Saints
While I think Atlanta is the ‘better’ team in this Week 16 pairing, I like Drew Brees and the high-scoring Saints to win a shootout in this NFC South showdown because they’re playing at home and will likely be a bit desperate at this point in the season.
Week 17 Panthers at Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons will get their revenge for their Week 9 road loss to the Panthers by putting a bunch of points on the board in a regular season finale that may actually mean something for both NFC South division rivals.
I’ve got the Falcons winning 10 games in 2017 to narrowly top their regular season win total odds, although I’m thinking Atlanta could reach the 11-win mark more than I see them winning nine games. Play the Over people.
