Super Bowl LIII Odds for Possible Matchups – July 18th Edition

Written by on July 18, 2018

As the new NFL season fast approaches, the thoughts of football fans across the country start to turn towards the Super Bowl. Every fan comes into the new year believing that their team will be crowned champions at the end of it, although some of those fans are clearly deluded. We can somewhat narrow down the teams that are playoff contenders, but what happens once the postseason begins? Which Matchup has the best Super Bowl LIII odds to be played in Atlanta February 2019? At MyBookie Sportsbook there are some definite ideas, and we are going to take a look at some of those. The Patriots figure in most of the top picks, but we are not going to look at all of their potential match-ups, as the idea here is to give you a look at a variety of different odds.

Super Bowl LIII Odds for Possible Matchups – July 18th Edition

Philadelphia Eagles vs New England Patriots

  • Super Bowl LIII Odds: +1400
If you believe in the magic of a rematch, then this may well be the best for you. The Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champions, while the Patriots, despite rumors of in-house issues, remain the favorites to come out of the AFC. These two delivered a fantastic Super Bowl last season, and while it would be cool to see them go head to head again, this one falls into unlikely status due to the fact that you need to go back to 1994 to find the last time we saw a back to back Super Bowl pairing. This may be the bookies choice, but it’s not mine.

LA Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Super Bowl LIII Odds: +3000
Two of the most high-powered offenses in the game would likely provide a Super Bowl for the ages if they were to meet in Atlanta. The Rams had a great season in 2017 but showed some real playoff inexperience. Expect better from them this season. This will likely be the last year that we see the Killer B’s all swarming together, as Leveon Bell looks destined to move on in 2019. While that may cause some locker room friction, it may also go the other way and bring this group together for one last run at the crown. Mark this one as likely.

Minnesota Vikings vs Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Super Bowl LIII Odds: +6000
This one actually makes quite a bit of sense when you consider that these teams were the beaten conference finalists last season. The Jaguars basically came within one play of being in the Super Bowl, while the Vikings stout defense was finally broken down by the eventual champions. Minnesota may actually be better this season, as they went out and invested some coin in a proven starting QB in Kirk Cousins. The Vikings Super Bowl LIII Odds are looking good. The biggest question mark with the Jaguars is still QB Blake Bortles. He had a great postseason last year, but can he carry that over into 2018? We think this could be a likely meeting.

Green Bay Packers vs Houston Texans

  • Super Bowl LIII Odds: +6500
Let’s close out with a match-up that would potentially be a beauty, but which almost certainly falls into the unlikely category. The biggest issue for the Green Bay Packers over the past couple of seasons has been their ability to stay healthy. They have lost key personnel, including QB Aaron Rodgers, over the last two years, hurting the chances to win. The Houston Texans look to have their QB of the future, as DeShaun Watson looked like a star in the making before going down hurt. If these teams stay healthy, who knows how far they can go.
